I have read that there is a lot of talk about throwing games in the playoffs so teams don't get promoted! I think that is absurd and defeats the purpose of why we are all here. But at the same time it might be the best option for an owner and his team. It turns out every Can A league is thinking of doing the same thing. No one wants to be promoted into a league that they will get killed in.

Every league has promotions/demotions which helps keep everything competitive. But every other league has had a full season to mature players, build bankroll, build up their stadium, build team chemistry all without a level cap. The teams that win the conference championships in a lower level aren't suppose to dominate in the next level, but they aren't suppose to get beat by 100 pts each game either.

There is a push to try and get the Admins to allow us a full season before we promote, not sure how likely this will be, but it is worth a shot.

Who ever end up being promoted to the Can AA is going to have to make one of two choices:
1) Cut the guys who got him there and say thanks but you are not good enough for me now and I don't need you anymore (which sucks balls!)
2) Stick with the guys who got him there and take a beating by a 15 teams full of level +20 players and be demoted after one season.

We are the trial run of mid-season team additions, lets let them no that it is unfair to promote any of us right now.

While I agree with all your points, please note that you guys are not the trial run of midseason teams. It was also done in season 1 and those teams were promoted into Pro Leagues.

Not the trial run midseason that is going to get us killed. It is the level cap. Either we have to find a whole new team to compete or stick with our core group now that we have grown friends with and get killed.

Jigglesworth plays to win. If you want to lay down in front of him...He'll just step harder.

My understanding is that there is an XP boost for playing teams leveled above you...So see, getting smashed can be a good thing.

That's what they told me in college also.

There's no way any of us could survive up in AA without another year. Hopefully Bort likes us...


All this talk about AA and getting Smashed seems counterintuitive

Yeah, the Phantoms wont lay down either. If we get stomped due to promotion, fine! But we proved to be the best to go up to that ranking.

Hmm average lvl in Canda A is about 8 vs average lvl in Canda AA is about 16.

The only problem with this post is it is the AVERAGE level. The team I GM is in 4th place right now in our conference and we only have 2 players that are lower than the average for the league. If you go down to the 8th place team there are only 5 lower than the average. The AVERAGE team is not going to get promoted. Its the best team. I think most people are overreacting to this whole situation. What is the difference in getting promoted and taking a year to improve your team while actually in the situation that will show you where you need to improve most. And staying back and improving the same team. Both will hurt you cause if you stay with your same team then you will still have a lower avg than the teams in AA and if you change your team you still take a chem hit. Keep in mind that while you are improving your team so are the AA teams they are boosting and leveling people every day. If you keep your same team and just build if your avg is 8 now (which I doubt for a champion team) then you might hit the 16 or 17 that they are at now but they have grown too they are in the 20's now so you still have a disadvantage. Are you gonna cry again next season cuz they are still better than you?

If you are scared then just say your scared and move out of the way of the people that want to play the game.
