Matchups

Alpha

Knossos Minotaurs vs Dorset Stampede *ALPHA GAME OF THE DAY*
The Minotaurs edged a tough Yorkshire Knights side last week, and the tail end of their schedule doesn't relent as they visit the Dorset Stampede. Dorset narrowly lost to Vice City last week - this should be an interesting matchup.
Prediction: Knossos 27-14

Moncuq Beserker Trolls vs Rennes Corsairs
Rennes need to win to keep playoff hopes alive, but they face a monstrous Montcuq side intent on securing homefield advantage.
Prediction: Montcuq 37-9

Vice City Crack Whores vs Hamburg Likedeeler
SingleSam must fancy his chances of going 15-1 and securing the #1 seed. Hamburg might be out of the playoffs, but will present a potential stumbling block for the Whores.
Prediction: Vice City 38-7

Yorkshire Knights vs Messina Blazers
Yorkshire must be tired of losing, and they should bounce back from a negative 3 game streak. Messina know their post-season fate, whilst Yorkshire play for seeding.
Prediction: Yorkshire 27-6

Seville Naranjas vs Ahlen Aces
Seville must also fancy their chances of winning out, as they face a Ahlen side losing with dignity. Will the Naranjas take this game easy, or use the opportunity to run up the score?
Prediction: Seville 113-3

Black Watch vs Barcelona Razorbacks
On a 5 game win streak, and facing a despondent Barca side, the Watch have crept up the table and have an outside chance of a homefield seeding. They should roll this game against a Razorbacks side with underachieving talent.
Prediction: Watch 37-6

Fareham Demon vs Dublin Destroyers
The Demons need just one win to secure a playoff berth, and should achieve that against a Dublin side that must be looking to rebuild next season. Fareham could slip up here, but Dublin look unlikely to stop the potent passing attack.
Prediction: Fareham 53-7

London Royals vs Vatican City Popes
Playing for pride and position in the lower half here, London hould win and stay safe from the drop.
Prediction: London 86-3

Zeta

Stirling Crusaders vs Berlin Thunder
Significant for both teams, this game could decide whether Berlin achieve a playoff place, and where Stirling are seeded. The Crusaders look like a real championship contenders right now.
Prediction: Stirling 33-10

Spaniard Quebrantaguesos vs Turin Blue Jays
The Blue Jays face the Bone Breakers, in what everyone expect to be a whitewash - Spaniard look to retain the top seeding, before going into a tough week 16 match.
Prediction: Spaniard 52-7

Munchen The Fearless Lion vs St Michael Blicas
'Everyone's favourite underdogs,' St Michael, better be good at funerals - this is where their playoff hopes die.
Prediction: Munchen 39-10

Wales Whales vs Bath Killer Bees *ZETA GAME OF THE DAY*
#3 meet #4 - in what appears to be a closely matched game. The Killer Bees are reeling after a surprise loss to Antwerp last week, can they steel their nerve and bounce back?
Prediction: Wales 24-21

Bergen Black Bears vs Lyon Loups *LFU*
With Bergen guaranteed the playoffs, Lyon hope they relax as they seek to fulfil their own post-season ambitions. The Bears aren't quite ready to hibernate just yet.
Prediction: Bergen 28-17

Yorkshire Rippers vs FF-FD Satellite
The Rippers stumbled last week, and hope to secure the playoffs with a win. FF-FD might not be big dogs, but they have a lot of fight - can they cause an upset?
Prediction: Yorkshire 27-13

Antwerp Jokers vs Copenhagen Armadillos
The Jokers pulled off the upset last game with a win over Bath, sustaining their dreams of the playoffs. They'll need to break an Armadillos side on a 3 game losing streak to keep those hopes alive any longer.
Prediction: Antwerp 17-12

Hjorring Rhions vs Glasgow Manglers
Hjorring know how to nosedive faster than an ailing Spitfire, and meet a Glasgow side moving up the table.
Prediction: Glasgow 14-9

No projected ranking this week, but find my link here to the playoff picture:

The thing about hamburg is that most of their losses have been close. I expect a tough game.

True - a few potential spoiler games, but the facts don't lie, Stirling and Vice City are both winning teams playing, well, teams that have won less. You're going to be favourites

Personally, I'm hoping the Jokers stay alive another week, so their fate perhaps lies with the result they get against us - would be nice to play a team with everything on the line - the Jokers have definately underperformed this year given last year - which begs the question, were they just waiting to boost?
