Ok guys - who do you think it will be this year?

Right now, the obvious pick looks like Orangebloods (who will likely finished undefeated) vs. CBMB (who has only been stopped in the playoffs by the Shoals and Orlando).

In the West though, you can't count out the Sphere who should make a run and the Roughnecks who have proven to be very dangerous. Hitmen and Horns appear to be one season off, though both could make a run. The Dark Horse is the MB bears who have been tough in the past but waited to boost this year till midseason.

In the East, it really looks like a CBMB vs. NY contest though the Care Bears have served notice with their upset win over CBMB. In addition, MN's defense and passing attack can never be underestimated and DC's history of going in as the 7th or 8th seed and tearing up the playoff's must be considered (if they make the playofs, which appears likely at this point). Rock stars look good, but I would say they are a year from being in the elite of the league.

Orlando Dogg Pound doesn't appear to get much respect. I do agree that the east will likely be won by CMBM, Care Bears or NY and the Drillers can't be taken lightly.

Don't you think you should at least play the top teams close to deserve respect? Against the three top teams you were outscored 91-16.

Well, CBMB plays the Orlando Dogg Pound tonight, so we'll see how much "respect" they deserve.

I think the Noles or Spartans are the favorite in the west.

You got a good team and shown you belong in the A1, but haven't proven yourself to be in the elite of the conference yet. I think next year, you guys will make the jump to the elite.

To be honest with you the DC warriors scare me to death. I really don't want to have to face you guys in the first round. That would be the reward we get for the #1 seed (assuming we get it), we get to face the only team that waited to boost and has made it to the conference championship every year.

You guys don't control your own destiny right now, but all it takes for you guys to get the 8th seed is for the Drillers to beat West Bend. The Grizzlies (7th seed) also have 3 very tough games left so you could end up with the 7th seed too.

And that isnt even starting to talk about the drillers, steelheads, or care bears (sorry Dogg pound and rock stars, I think you guys need to wait a year or two). Its a tough league all around.

We're hoping to make a run again. We lost a little talent this year with AD leaving, but we've managed to remake ourselves lately and get our builds back up so hopefully we'll have another run. (We have had 3 guys boost fully though.) My main concern is that we may not be able to afford lvl 24 equipment for everyone - the team made a decision to put buy all stadium upgrades (with the loan in the offseason) and then dish out whatever money is left over. I believe I can do all of the starters right now, but we'll see. That's the penalty of waiting to boost

Of course, the farther we go in the playoffs the more upgrades I can hand out!

I think even West Bend will say that it will be tough for them to beat MN, so I'm pretty hopeful that we'll make it. Still, the worst thing that could happen would be to have a three way tie between us, Grizz, and West Bend. We have the tiebreaker over West Bend, but Grizz beat us, and West Bend beat the Grizz so depending on tiebreakers we could be the odd man out...

At this point we get either NY or CBMB in the first round. So, if we make the playoffs we'll either lose the first round game or (if we're good enough to win the first round game) we make another run and lose to CBMB or NY in the championship game

Should be an exciting finish to this season. Next season should be very competitive too. The Warlocks, Warriors, Dog Pound, Whorns, and Grizzlies should have some good rivalries. They have been the middle tier of this conference for some time. The departure of 2 of the top teams in the conference may leave some room for some fun playoff games with new matchups.

Yeah, you guys got it really tough. Assuming things stay the way the are now (and you get the 8th seed, and the favorites win) you would have to face us, then if you win I think that you would get the care bears, then the drillers or the steelheads. That is tough, if you get through that there is no question that you deserved to move up.

I think next year is going to be extremely tough. Both West Bend and Grizz look way better than last year and the Rock Stars and Dog Pound definitely show they belong. Throw in 2 more season champs from the BBB and I think there will only be 3 games that can be considered gimmes (including whoever drops from AA1). I think Colorado makes a turnaround next season after a dissapointing season 3 and Pennsylvania seems to have been knocking on the door for awhile and may break through to the playoffs next year.

yeah - we barely beat MN and the Care Bears last year and they both thrashed us in the regular season this year, so nothing is a given at this point (hopefully waiting to boost will make up for the loss of AD).. Will make for a fun playoffs though with so many good teams.

Still, I don't think anyone can say they got an easy road in the playoffs this year.. too many good teams.

I need an emoticon for crying..

I think that makes it more exciting for next season. I hate the 100-0 games. They're just not any fun.

I like having someone to gun for.
