Since the cap is going away, are there things considered "bad form" in regards to levels? I know there are some people against the cap going away, and some not. Just wondering what you guys thought.

i say anything is fair game because i think the new XP rules will be in effect by then to (if they haven't already been implemented)...so if a high level ringer doesn't mind getting less xp for games played against lesser competition, then it's his choice.

I think it would be cool to maybe bump up the cap a little bit again, like to 17 or something....

I think they may be in place now. We had a level 19 WR in WE A4 who is only a 21 or 22 now. Seems a bit slow. I'd like to see what the differences are in xp, and if it's leveragable (I'm pretty sure I just invented a word...) in the recruiting process.
Edit - Drunkenmunkee, I think you know who I am talking about.

haha, yeah...i do know the WR you are referring to. however, i was under the impression that since we had a level cap on our league, the xp scale wouldn't be in effect this season since you could only be lvl 13 coming into the league. i was under the impression that the xp scale wasn't supposed to punish players who boosted early.
i agree though as i wonder how material the xp scale impact truly is...i would expect it to be material though and it should impact the recruiting process as everyone wants their players to develop as quickly as possible.

I would love to have the cap still, but raise it to 18 this year. I'm not going to be editing my roster much if at all, let other teams destroy their chemistry. I'm only going to upgrade 3 positions that I know of. at most 6. I'm not going to completely redo my roster like at least one team will.

The XP hit is 10 points for nightly training....no hit for game XP.
As far as team chemistry goes, the offseason moves have no effect on team chemistry. So LionsLover it's great that you think you only need to upgrade at 3 positions, but you might fall behind thinking that chemistry will win you games.
Just my 2 cents!

No effect at all? well then... I might have to rethink my plan.

Chemestry seems to be overrated anyways, and not enough of a deterrent from trying to out level folks well into the season.

up to a 10% boost for higher chemistry is enough for me to want it higher. 10% on good builds = you destroying the other team.

the key to that being "up to".

Do we know for sure what will be the cap if there is one at all?
I've looked everywhere and haven't been able to find what season four's guidelines will be for our league.

from what i've read only new leagues may have a cap the first year and then after that it's uncapped. there is an xp scale that is designed to discourage high level players from joining much lower level leagues.
