OK...only four games left in the regular season. Time to make some playoff predictions in the East. These aren't based upon any spreadsheet or statistical analysis. This is how I think the last four weeks of the season will go and how the playoffs will look.
#1 - Wolfpack (16-0) - Head into the playoff strong will three boosts per player. Ouch.
#2 - Fury (13-3) - Fury backs into the playoffs after a loss to the Elves in inter conference play.
#3 - River Rats (13-3) - A rough start to the season is forgotten by a strong finish.
#4 - Slashers (12-4) - Losses to Fury and the Horde late in the season drop the Slashers a bit, but still a very dangerous team.
#5 - Badgers (11-5) - A team that knows how to win in the playoffs. Not the type of matchup any #4 seed is looking for.
#6, #7, #8 - Wolves, Daggers, Fanboys (10-6) - I have no idea how the tiebreaker will work when these three teams finish with identical records. Of the three, the Fanboys scare the top 3 seeds more than the others...but any of the three will make a good first round matchup.
Two big games could affect these predictions. In game 13, the Slasher host the Fury. A Slasher win would place them in the #2 or #3 slot and likely drop the Fury to #4 (or further). Also in game 13, the Badgers face the Daggers. If the Daggers manage to pull out the W, the Badgers would replace Daggers in the quagmire at seeds 6 through 8 and put the Daggers would be sitting the the #5 spot.
