I know we talked about it earlier in the season but we never really came up with a way to get it done.

Not sure what system would work the best really. Need something we could manage but that would also give some true representation.

Maybe just an MVP vote type deal?

Suggestions?

Heck, is anyone even interested?

Hella yeah! we have brought this up in our team forum recently I think it's a great idea...

here is a link to the page where we all discussed the pro bowl and rules at the beginning of the season http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=365574

Cali came up with a good format

Ballot. Early for this, but I'm kinda bored so here's the ballot for pro-bowl selection.

To be returned by team owner after week 14 and no later than day one of the playoffs. The owner can relegate one of his GMs to submit his team's ballot. You are limited to no more than 3 players on your own team that can be selected. A starting vote counts for 2 points in that player's tally, and a backup vote (designated by "*") adds 1 point.

When are we going to find out all of the nominations to vote on? Or do we just vote for whomever. I think each team should calibrate a list of their 3 players and then each team will submit their votes. Just curious on how this actually works. In real life, not every player is actually able to be voted on, their is a list of nominations to pick from. What are thoughts from everyone??

I say nominate as many as you want... as long as no more than 3 come from your own team.

I really don't think I have the time to really evaluate to pick the right guys.

I certainly do not have time to look at all the other teams players to make a fair choice.

How about this....

Each team nominates, from their own team...

1 OL
1 O-Backfield
1 O-other (any posiiton)

1 DL
1 D-Secondary
1 D-other (any position)

Once we have nomination we then all vote on each position. It gives each team and position some representation while still being manageable.

If you don't have the time to look at the other teams... then it would make sense that you won't have time to come to a consensus on the vote either... As in order to vote for the final pro bowlers you'll have to evaluate all the nominees. I'm just saying... of course people are going to nominate their own teammates, but that if I were voting I wouldn't have the time to go through all those nominations. They were made just cuz no one wanted to see if there was someone more worthy in their own league.......

Does that make sense at all? One way or another you're gonna have to do the research. If no one has the time, no sense in having a pro bowl at all.

If someone has the time and wants to compile, the best way might be to not vote at all. Won't be a consensus team, but it will still be nice.

You could have every owner give two offensive and two defensive players. The compiler would take those 4 players from all teams and use their own system to come up with a pro bowl lineup. Would require research from the one person and might be biased, but it would be something. Maybe two people can team up to try and take the bias out of it. Maybe two people that set the roster for the opposite conference that they play in. Don't know how special teams would work.

If the owners did it secretly, it would still be a nice recognition for the players selected even though it isn't a voted thing.

If every team nominates 2 Offensive Players and 2 Defensive Players we can go from there. Let's say nominations to be turned in by our Saturday, since conference play is over and then owners can start to compile the numbers. We can have a Pro Bowl team by mid next week?? We need to come up with something soon, otherwise we may as well scratch the whole thing. Any thoughts, Agree or Disagree??

All I know is that one player is a lock on the Zeta Pro Bowl Squad.

K Paige Turner

He's the best in the league.
