THIS CODE WAS ENTIRELY WRITTEN BY CHATGPT, IF THAT SCARES YOU OFF!!!

I loved an old script that GLB'er pabst wrote back in the day that somehow produced smoother graphics during the replays. Once flash broke and we had to go back to either 10 or 20 frame per second replays, I always wished that his script still worked, but it doesn't, at least as far as I can tell.

So, I started using chatGPT to try to update/fix his old script, and I never got it to fully do so. I then started over and asked chatGPT to do basically what I thought would improve the replays, and I think it has. I've been running this script for a while this evening, and it seems to work whether you have 10 or 20 frames turned on on that selection page on GLB, and I can't see that it breaks anything in the replays. I'm not sure whether it would break things like the speed script, i guess probably?, or if it would break scouting scripts or things like that, but if anyone wants to just give it a try, it's easy enough to disable and/or delete if it messes with something else that you like.

Anyway, here you go kids, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have so far. Here's the link to where to get it on Greasyfork:

I think it's better if you put it on 20 frames, you get more choices what the replays hide or show, I think? I dunno. Anyway, if anyone tries it out or anything, post your results/thoughts here (not that I'll likely update it, b/c it's all ChatGPT and i'm kinda done dealing with that whole process for a bit), but just b/c I'm interested.

Does this one highlight your players? I haven't been able to find a working script that does that in a long time.

It doesn't. Yeah, that would be cool, I've looked for a working player-highlighter too. Maybe when I'm recovered from this effort I'll dive back in and see if I can get that added.

JUST LIKE WITH THE LAST VERSION, THIS WAS WRITTEN 100% BY CHATGPT, SO IF THAT SCARES YOU OFF, SO BE IT.

OK, I guess my tolerance for the fussiness of all this got outweighed by my curiosity to see if I could get it to work. And I did, I think! This new version of the script seems to work perfectly for me: it is still smoothed like the previous version, but now the replay puts a highlight in the form of a white ring around every dot owned by the person watching, on both teams if you have some on each.

I guess if the jersey color of the team your dots are on is white or close to white, you'd want to choose "Show Default Team Colors" or whatever the replay option choice is that makes one team blue and one yellow, and then the white will show up clearly.

Just like with the other one, if you choose to try this out, please do let me know what your results are and stuff like that.

The highlighting looks great, but the plays won't run for me with the script installed. It looks like the play button is stuck?

what browser are you using? I'm using Tampermonkey on Chrome, I haven't tried other browsers with it.

I have noticed that sometimes the first play that you go to doesn't load/run properly b/c of some kind of timing issue. If you hit the "Previous Play" button, it should load and run that play correctly, and then if you have "Auto Advance to Next Play" selected, it'll take you back to the play you wanted and run correctly, or you can manually advance to the "Next Play" if you don't use auto-advance.

That should take care of it, it can be slightly inconvenient it's true, but i haven't found it to be a deal-breaker worthy of getting the chatbot to continue to tweak things, which could always lead things to break worse.
