I have one for a 4 dot build. Looking for a 3 dot build guide.

Just broadening the topic a little, what situation do you all feel is best served by a 3 AEQ dot, rather than a 4?

And vice versa?

3 AEQ has a higher player value and the 4th AEQ can be a sketchy choice. Right no I'm seeing that 3 AEQs play better than 4 AEQs. Does anyone know of a 3 AEQ dot build guide? I just need to know the math on the training schedule....

Afaik, it's the same. You just don't switch to Light as early. You don't even need to do calculus on your EQ until age 120, the last season.

As far as 4 vs 3..... 4 AEQ are for builds where the extra 3 EQ points are more important to a single attribute, or if a position requires many types of % gear.

Defense always has a case for 4 AEQ. Offense dots can specialize. Defense usually needs to be more diverse.

It's the same processing can just multi train longer. If equipment shopping goes well you can multi train almost their entire career.

It all depends on shopping like Ryan says, but it also depends on how much you enhance your attributes with the multi training (I go 4x enhanced on my A1-3 in some instances) as to how long you can multi train. I usually switch to light towards in the end of the 3rd season depending on how many BT's are necessary for the AEQ, extra SA, etc that are required for the end build. I will usually have leftover BT's which I'll convert to SP where I could have trained differently down the stretch

I get the processing part, I was looking for the point that I would switch to light training under these circumstances...

1. This would be based on using training upgrades for 8 Attys at 1 x 30%, 3 x 20% , 4 x 10%

2. Multi train as long as possible and switch to light training so when there are no more TPs left to train after rollover season 4 to 5 have been used, I then purchase 3rd piece of AEQ that leaves no BTs left over.

3. Purchase 3 AEQ that are +5% Ability +3 Attribute outright with no shopping

There has to be a day during a season to which I switch to light training and and accomplish these goals. That's what I'm looking for as far a a script / build guide that gives me a definitive answer what day that is. I have a 4 AEQ build guide that gives me that answer and I was hoping that there was a 3 AEQ build guide out there that could do the same that was up to date with the changes to building dots since the Dotpocalypse.

I hate math so I'm hoping I don't have to figure this out with fingers, toes and chalk board.

do you have the VPB? You can always go in with an exsisting build and there is an option that shows what BTs you will have at end build, so you can keep checking for the best time to switch to light at the last minute.

I created a script that allows you to put in your remaining BT spend and the script will calculate when you need to switch to light based on that https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/575923-sn-s-glb-unified-training-assistant. It runs on the training page.

Imagine if Bort let us buy BTs at level 79. What a dream

Let's math this out for everyone

#1 starting dots get 56 TP + 12 BTs

#2 there's four 40-day seasons x 4 TPs =

#3 there's 4 preseason dumps of 36 TPs = 144 TPs

This gets you 840 TPs

====

If you go all 4-way training (impossible) that would be 105 trains, that would get you 1260 BTs + the starting 12 gets you to 1272 BTs

1 piece of max gear is 50+75+300=425 BTs and 3 of those is 1275 BTs.

Now... The quantum physics of your enhancements is 36+18+18+18+6+6+6+6= 96 BTs, plus the 6+12+18 to unlock 4-way = 132 BTs

So, 1275 + 132 = 1407 Total BTs needed which is a deficit of 135 BTs

===

Now...the difference between Light training and 4-way is 3 BTs per training session. {Math explaintion (One 4-way gets you 12 BTs, but costs 8 TPs. So you average half if that per day, or 3 BTs for 1 session. You could do 4 Light sessions at 6 BTs each. So 24 instead of 12, is a deficit of 12, over 4 sessions is 3 BTs per session difference)}

So ... What I would do.... For the sake of easy guide writing --- just do Light training instead of 4-way for 2 of the off season dumps. It doesn't matter which 2.

Personally I'd do the first one, to set up multi-training. And the the last one.

If you're in the middle of a dot, then just do the last 2 dumps all on Light.

If that doesn't work for you, then YOU can calculate the exact day to switch, but it'll be some random ass day in the middle of the last season. (Day 30 plus the last off season dump)

All I build is 3aeq. It’s simple, quad train till semi pro. Use slot one for switching, train slot two first. Enhance *5 slot two attribute, enhance slot four 3 or 5 times and you can get away without putting any skill points into that one. Really kinda depends on position for which attributes and how high enhance.
