Scurrius isn't meant to be a challenge for high-level players. He's there to bridge the gap between Slayer mobs and true bosses, giving beginners a safe, controlled way to learn essential combat skills. If you're new to PvM, want practice with prayer flicking, or simply enjoy exploring new content, Scurrius is the perfect training ground.

So grab your gear-whether it's Void, Rune, or even Bronze-and head into the Varrock Sewers. Learn the mechanics, grab a spine or two, and start building the confidence you'll need for bigger challenges in OSRS. Having enough OSRS gold can help you pass the challenges.

Good luck, and happy hunting!

The Fire Cape is one of the most iconic achievements in Old School RuneScape (OSRS). To earn it, players must survive the TzHaar Fight Cave-a gauntlet of 63 waves ending with the infamous boss, TzTok-Jad. This guide covers the best gear, inventory setup, safe spots, wave strategies, and a step-by-step breakdown of how to finally take down Jad.

Essential Requirements

The most important prerequisite for the Fight Caves is 43 Prayer, unlocking all protection prayers. Technically, 40 Prayer is enough for Protect from Missiles and Protect from Magic, but 43 ensures you are safe from melee monsters inside the caves.

While it is possible to attempt with melee or magic, Ranged is the recommended combat style. At a minimum, you'll want 61 Ranged for a Rune Crossbow, though 75 Ranged is highly recommended for the Toxic Blowpipe, which dramatically increases your odds of success. Having enough RuneScape gold can also help you succeed.

Best Gear Setup

Weapons

Toxic Blowpipe (with amethyst or better darts) - Best for your first Fire Cape.

Crossbow - Crucial for long-range tagging and luring healers. Use enchanted diamond bolts for high-damage procs.

Top choices: Zaryte Crossbow, Armadyl Crossbow, Dragon Crossbow (budget), Rune Crossbow (entry-level).

Armor

Prioritize Ranged attack bonus and defensive stats:

Best-in-slot: Masori or Armadyl (if affordable).

Practical options: Karil's or Black/Red Dragonhide.

At 70 Ranged, Hallowed Crystalhide armor or Blessed Dragonhide offers strong prayer bonuses and magic defense.

Accessories

Necklace: Necklace of Anguish > Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory.

Shield slot (if using a crossbow): Blessed Dragonhide Shield > Dragonhide Shield > Armadyl book.

Ring: Ring of Suffering (best for learners), Archer's Ring, or Brimstone Ring (budget).

Every player needs a lot of RuneScape gold, I suggest you go to a third-party website like RSorder.com to buy, safe and comfortable transactions, and years of experience to ensure the security of your account.

What's the best way to tackle the Fight Caves? Ranged combat, hands down! I tried melee once, and let's just say it didn't end well. The Toxic Blowpipe made all the difference in my successful attempt. https://pacman30th.org/
