Season 116 is here and there are many questions heading into the season.

I think those of us that sent support tickets in this off season to get 2 preset fixes taken care of show that there are still some cares, maybe even a little from Bort. Thank you for that by the way!

Will these changes make a big difference going forward and will they help some teams more than others?

Drew is down to one team in Pro this season and a whole new fully boosted roster to contend with. Will he be able to continue his dominance over Casual Pro?

Alpha

Philly - Won Alpha last season, but lost to DOOM in the playoffs. Can drew and I Co-coordinate them back to the Championship Game?

DOOM - Last seasons late run to get to the Championship was impressive. Can Sugar keep them at the top or do they sink back into mediocrity?

Las Spezia - Streaky team last season, but only 1-2 against Philly. Can they win one without using a mini helmet?

Key Largo - 6 Kings and his playoff contending pedigree is back with his new team and a 19 game winning streak. How long will it take to suffer that first defeat this season?

Gmaj - Good team that ended up being demoted and brought back up. Team was pretty quiet in the forums last season. Is there any fight left in them, before decline?

Sonoma - They've been here before if I remember correctly, but not much success. Can they win enough games to stay out of the cellar?

Beta

Bier - I've already touched on Bier a bit. Dominant team with a brand new roster. Are they built the same or did drew throw in some new wrinkles? Can this new batch of dots keep drew in Golds?

Granite - Last seasons Casual Pro Tourney Champs and Won Beta regular season, but exited the playoffs with our tails between our legs. Will these preset fixes help us back to the top?

Arditi - Another really good team that is a little inconsistent. Can they be more consistent and improve upon last seasons 3rd place finish?

Steel City - #4 seed going into the playoffs last season and pulled off a big upset in the playoffs. Wasn't surprising to me at least. Can grey keep them moving in the right direction with all the new additions that replaced PK's inactive dots?

Wu Dang - Roc is back with his new and improved Kung Fu Academy. I'm going to say that Key Largo was the best AAA team last season and Wu was right with them. 3 losses by a total of 6 points. Can they win those close games and make a run at the playoffs?

Texhoma - Sugars other team. Really struggled 2 seasons ago in Pro and got demoted. Won their division in AAA and eventually lost to AAA Champ Key Largo. Can they win enough games to stay in playoff contention this time around?

This could be the most competitive season in CPL History at least since the reboot. Lots of questions and I guess it won't be long until we start finding out some answers.

Looks like it's going to be a very competitive season. A lot of good teams but it is still Drew's house until someone kicks him off the roof! Good luck everyone.

How many teams will use the old Ryan preset in the playoffs?

Nice write up. Teams will be on autopilot for much of the season again. I've have a lot of stuff going on this fall.

Excuse my ignorance, what are the differences between Heavy Inside and Pass First originals versus new presets?

Agreed! No offense to Sonoma, but I believe the other 11 teams have a shot to make the playoffs. We'll find out soon!

I've looked at them a few times and they build the same dots the same way. They always end up around mid 1200's in effective level. Builds are probably balanced early on to get the advantage in the minors.

Sonoma has been here before. We won't win (m)any games. Not even sure how we got here. I checked out last season w/ 4 games to go and somehow nearly won out to get the #2 seed and a spot in the Pro's. Planned on a rebuild this off season, but with a pending vacation middle of the year, put it off. So don't plan on checking in much, if any this season. If you lose to us, you need a rebuild/reload yourself. Yes, we love our "minor" trophies...we may peak early, but at least we peak. I have gotten stuck on the builds. Tried a few things different w/ this team, pretty much the same results (but enjoyed the differences). Here for the fun, don't need to be dominant.
