This assumes a 0.5 ALG dot, with a primary attribute that can be modified by Weight or Height
(Strength, Speed, Blocking, Tackling, Vision, Agility)

Step 1: Use your Weight or Height to get your primary attribute to 26.xx or higher

Step 2a : Buy the 10% enhancement for that attribute
Step 2b: Train that attribute on INTENSE, exactly 7 times. That attribute will be at 29.xx + with 90+%

Step 3a: Boost exactly 1 time and 1 time only. The other 4 will be saved for the end build.
Step 3b: 1-cap the primary attribute at 48.xx. Stop at the 1-cap and save those 3 extra SPs.

Step 4a: Buy the 20% enhancement for the attribute
Step 4b: NORMAL train that attribute, 3 times
Step 4c: Buy the 30% enhancement for the attribute
Step4d: NORMAL train it 4 more times just to burn TPs
If you don't you'll bust the 60 TP cap.

Step 5: Stop. Do not spend any more SPs, BTs, or TPs. Do absolutely nothing until after the 4th game of the season.

You stop because of the nerf which disables training Break Throughs.

Step 6a: After the 4th game you'll have earned 15 SPs from leveling and you still have the 3 SPs you saved from before (18 SPs total) AND your ALGs will have gotten you a couple more points. Now you can start NORMAL training again. Depending on your luck, do whatever you need to do to get your attribute to 52 with a good training %, like 90+% again.
Note: If your games are on even days, you can do this step after roll over right before the 4th game
Step 6b: 2-cap your primary attribute with the SPs you have on hand.
Step 6c: IMMEDIATELY BOOST 3 times, and 3-cap your primary attribute.

Why?

You can skip over the worst part of the training chart. You're effectively going from 48 to 68, and you're using the 3 of the 5 in-season boosts to do it. Your 4 other starting boosts are all locked away in a vault until the end of the build.

Step 7: You should still be sitting on a ton of TPs. Where you go from here depends on your goals.

You could pound out more Normal training and get the BTs needed to open up 4-way training with 30% enhancements in everything. You could also buy more enhancements if you're doing an extreme attribute build. You could boost up again in another day or 2, to get to the 4-cap.

Edit: Updated to include the 4 trains for even day dots.

This needs 1 small amendment.

If you're on a Rookie team that plays on even days, then you have to train 4 times after buying the 30% upgrade, and the nightly XP will allow you to proceed before the 4th game.

I feel like were all building the same dot.

I assure you, there are plenty of horrible dots out there, built by people who don't think they build horrible dots, and therefore refuse to accept any help with becoming less horrible.

I'm pretty sure it's only those that don't need guides that actually read them.

I must be dumb but this sounds way more complicated than a dotball game should be. Thanks for posting it tho

Exactly. Everyone wants to build the dots they see winning the Pro leagues, but then they build them and still can't win and come to realize it's mostly about the coordinating and sim luck at that level.

Someone needs to post a guide about how to beat WAR MACHINE, RC, and Tomcic in the playoffs instead

I'm actually using this on my current batch of dots. The results looked good enough to try in the VPB.

Just the way the math works out, vs. career goals.

Assuming you've followed the rest, you'll be sitting at 61.x then if you boost 3 times, the ALGs will get you to ~63 and the 18 SPs will allow you to 3-cap exactly at 68.x

You could boost 2 more but 12 SPs probably isn't enough to 4-cap. (69 70 71 72)

Because levels come so fast, at this age, after the 5th game you can. You'll gain 1.5 Attribute points from ALGs, getting you to 70+ then 71, 72, 73+ maybe 74+ depending on your starting weight/height.

Fwiw... I'm experimenting with oddball weights on my current batch of dots.

Also, that's why auto boost sucks. You waste the ALGs and get a glut of SPs. Staring at 30+ unused SPs on your dot should should make you feel gross inside.
