An 8-yard catch in the first quarter of a preseason game?
Yes, That's what it was. Its also marks the return of the greatest rTE builder in World League History.

"It was nothing special...I just drove out of the snap, and then turned to look for the pass....Ben hit me before the defender could turn around" said Brock B. Roadgrader, the latest TE to wear the Roadgrader badge.
A decade earlier, Todd Roadgrader lead HOOD to a World League Title in Season 23, catching 11 passes (on 11 targets) including a TD in the League Championship game. For his career Todd put up an un-matched *5* World League Seasons of at least 1,000 receiving yards, and played 7 seasons at the World League level in an era when it was rare for a dot to play more than 4. Todd Roadgrader posted the most receiving yards in World League history.
Jim "Crash" Roadgrader may have been the most under-rated World League TE Larry built--he had a ton of World League Stats, and also was rostered for 7 seasons at the elite World League level, but suffered from playing for teams that tended to finish at the bottom of the league standings (and an unfortunate season when Dpride didn't know how to run an offense).
3 other Roadgrader TEs won gold at the World League level, all part of the INDY network.
Brock B. Roadgrader has a lot to prove, and even more to live up to, but he summarized today's actions succinctly: "Today was a good day."
We'll live with that, and see what the rest of the season brings.
