This is meant to be the successor build to Darth Plagueis but due to some soft-quitting will be 2 spd and 1 AE upgrade short.

Build thoughts welcome (this is a VPB runthrough of his final season)

Spd: 112+56=168
Agi: 81
Catch: 81
Stam: 63
Jump: 53
Vis: 58
Car: 50
Str: 20

Catch Ball: 12% + 12% = 18%
Fake: 15%

10 Route Run (9+1)
10 1-Handed Catch (6+3+1)
12 First Step (7+5)
11 Catch Fake (10+1)
3 sticky hands, 3 jump catch, 4 dive catch, 4 quick cut

Biggest question is whether 1-handed catch is worthless or can actually trigger/help on deep passes?

Have never... In 100+ seasons of GLB, seen 1HC fire.

The ball has to be thrown exactly wrong. It never happens.

Once or twice a season you might see a Diving Catch. Jumping Catch is about the same.

Avoid all of those SAs. The cost/benefit ratio is way out of whack.

Juke is in the Speedster tree. Chase that with all those SPs.

That tree should probably be 8-X-2-4-8 and then add the CEQ bonus to that.

Thanks for the feedback. Follow-ups:

1. Are we sure 1-handed catch will "fire" on the pbp if it's doing something? Logically you would think it would, but if no one has ever seen an examle in the pbp, it's possible it's not coded to show up?

2. I'm actually not as big of a fan on juke on these high-speed guys (Sid and Zannah with Juke have performed worse than Plag and Bane without Juke), since juke needs agility/vision to be effective, and can't even fire unless the route has a direction change, while straight lines are some of the best routes on these guys. Though I agree if 1-handed-catch is truly worthless, juke would be a better use.

Not of fan of any of the special catch SA's when the dot has only 81 catching. Would prefer Juke or even Head Fake, I've seen multiple times in recent scrims where Head Fake leads to an open receiver.

Question, does headfake need a "direction change" to trigger just like Juke? I assume so, but not positive.

I do believe from what I can see (cant be sure) that it works like Juke on route cuts.

I'm pretty sure 1HC is worthless, but 90% of GLB WRs are Speed archetypes and invest CEQ in Speedster tree so have 0 in 1HC so naturally it hasn't shown up

Does "direction change" include the depth at which a streak is run? Not that they look any different but it seems that I see plenty of jukes laid on streaks.

Can you give an example? On creative route running (which I think your lolvision guys run on) they do their own thing and will change directions all the time on any route. But on exact route running, juke cannot trigger on a streak route.

Agreed

Jukes only add more delay to an existing cut. It had to be a Creative route run, or a route that looked like a Streak in replay, but wasn't drawn up as a streak... maybe like a hook route that didn't hook because the fake was so good.

4 sims of throwing a bunch of passes to WRs with 5 and 6 1HC netted zero PBP notifications. Jumping catch appeared a few times with much less investment. Seems very possible it is not coded to show up.

I confirmed the fakes I saw were at the cut point of other routes other than Streaks. My question came because Streaks still have a cut point in the play designer. Cut point is what Bort references specifically in the above thread. Guess my options are watch for streaks with fakes or just add a small move to all my streaks.

Mr Reliable
Possession Receiver (mostly for the KL resistance)

After that it depends on build goals. There's a lot of other decent situational options
