Alpha Conference
First round of playoffs matches South City vs Crawdads, and Moscow vs Shoreline:
South City and Moscow should both have no trouble advancing to the second round where they should meet each other again for the Alpha Conference championship… With Shoreline successfully shutting down the lethal legs of Moscow’s QB1 during the season finale, they should be able to contain him again. And I don’t believe Moscow’s defense has an answer for South City’s high powered and balanced offense. Prediction: South City advances to league championship game.
Beta Conference
Nothing “beta” about this conference as all four teams are formidable. First round matches Badlands vs Miami, and Twin City vs Texas:
Miami took the first game earlier in the season against Badlands, but the Mean Machine responded with a vengeance at the end of the season… Badlands should be able to continue their momentum, and roll into the second round.
Twin City is firing on all cylinders as they take on a well rounded Texas team, but Texas just won’t be able to stop Twin City’s jet thrusters. Twin City advances to the Beta Conference championship game where they will face Badlands for the third time… Badlands dealing them their only two blemishes of season 107, with their last meeting being an offensive shootout, so they will be laser focused on taking down the bad guys. In the end, I see Badlands finding a way to outlast the Jets’ fuel reserve, and take this game with special teams play. Prediction: Badlands advances to league championship game to face South City.
