At what point should you choose aggressive, conservative, or keep it balanced? If a player has 70+ pursuit, should he be aggressive? Or if he has 50 or lower, should he be conservative or balanced? Need some advice here ngl lol

Conservative = never, unless you want to see your players moonwalking and backpedaling.
Balanced = Good for FS/CB last line of defense type.
Aggressive = Everyone else.

More pursuit helps but you basically just want everyone attacking the football as much as possible. FS/SS on balanced helps limit a few more big plays (as long as they make tackles)

Personally, I go full aggressive with everyone; unless I’m switching it up against an Elusive back.

I go aggressive on all my tacklers. It seems you get more "atta boys" than "Aw shits" with it. I tried high pursuit builds and noticed after 90 in pursuit, LBs start Shake n' baking like HBs and can match them as long as quickness and footwork are up. On Aggressive you get "YAR!" type pursuit where your dot is 100% committed to the current ball carrier which is visible on sack attempts. If you don't have Blitz Awareness up to at least 50, your defender won't adjust to a handoff if you are trying to sack the QB. Will just continue after the QB after the ball is gone. I am not sure if having a Balanced or Conservative setting would affect this.

What I don't get is how a tackler with high pursuit and aggressive will run 5 yards ahead of the ball carrier and then come back for the tackle instead of making a direct vector toward the ball carrier. Really sucks in short yardage 1st down situations. To me, that is a conservative setting move where you don't want to get beat so you give up short yards to do so. Aggressive should mean going directly at the ball carrier and adjusting to their moves until you get there. If your quickness and footwork aren't up you should be getting beat by players that have theirs up. If your quickness and footwork are up, you should be at least meeting a ballcarrier at the line of scrimmage for the tackle as long as you can get off blocks.
