Yep. Some new stuff came out of the great dotpocalypse. Pro play seems to of benefitted the most.

I mean..i'm here but i don't think it qualifies as playing. Apparently I like spending money to watch my team get stomped regularly.

How long has this game been going?
It came out of Alpha testing March 16, 2008, that's the official "birthday". It was in beta for quite a while, and it became a running joke that it would never leave beta. There's quite a few of us still here that got the Beta Tester trophy for Season 31 in October 2012.
This iteration is only 6 seasons old if you haven't heard. There was a massive server crash and the game was revived again.

It'll get you started. Every season that you build a dot, you'll learn things and get better at it. It's a generational process. If you're really just starting out, I suggest picking one position to master.
Just a warning, but it's similar to making alcohol. The dot needs to age, and you won't really know if you're doing it right for about 3 months.
Also, How you start will determine 80% of your outcome. A bad start isn't really recoverable, but a solid start will make a solid dot even if you screw up a bit down the road.

If a game had a strong following during its first season, it's quite possible that a dedicated community is still actively playing several years later, especially if new content or seasons were added over time.

I got a season 30 beta trophy but i've been so far detached from it all.
