I've been playing GLB2 since season 1 and never took a break, unlike some of these slacker vets

We have loads and loads of helpful vets in this game, regardless of what others may think. The vets and the more elite vets have literally shared all their builds for everyone to use. However, just because you see and use their builds does not create instant success. You are seeing their end build that fits a specific scheme. Generally speaking, its a build that works well for their team design and has demonstrated great success for them.

The following is just a simple run through of establishing a team:

Offense:
I suck at offense. Never been my strong point in this game. However, whenever I reset my teams, I've always had a plan for what I want to see (then I hire out half-assed OC's to run it for me ).

Things to ask yourself.. what type of offense do I want to run? Do I want a powerback or elusive? Who will be my main targets in the passing game? Do I want my QB to run? What plays will I be using? Some helpful suggestions I've had from offensive minded coaches, design your playbook 1st. Then build your players to fit your offensive scheme. Get help from VETS for player builds to fit this team.

Defense:
Defense has always been more my thing. Lately, I've just been testing crazy ideas, but each idea has a scheme, a specific design in mind. Things to ask yourself... Zone? Man? Hybrid? Hard hitting FS? Cover vs Blitz LB? Run stopping dline? Whatever, doesn't matter. Previous example applies, design your playbook 1st. Look for plays you want to use. Ask VETS for player builds to fit your team if you must. I will say this, simpler the better. If you overcomplicate your defense too much, it just won't work or you'll just burn yourself out. I've done this multiple times.

Now, you may be saying to yourself, these are not tips. You're on crack showing support for useless vets of the game. True, most of the vets here are trash (just kidding :rofl.

Seriously though... design an offensive and defensive plan, ask for help if you must. However, there is a catch. The builds you usually end up with are final builds. Where you spend your points after games matter. This has been my flaw since day 1 and thus leads to the famous quote "wait til vet."

Some quotes from elite coaches to me: "You forgot conditioning," "where's your zone awareness," "WTF are these builds," "I would drop FW, Balance, add sprint, grip, carry awareness... nm, just remake it, you screwed up."

The point is, no matter how great of a build someone sends you in game, discord or wherever, if it doesn't fit your offensive or defensive design, you will probably struggle. If you place your points wrong, you will struggle. If you're like me and spend points unwisely, just wait til vet to see how it plays out. Stop pointing fingers at everyone else.

Ok, so what about tactics? That's a loaded question. Every coach in this game uses different tactics for what they find best works for them. There is no instant win button. Keep your tactics simple is my suggestion and not over think it.

Offensively: No clue, I suck at offense. Tactics/ playbook selection is my downfall.
Defensively: Medium Pass/ Run because it's safer and has no penalties. The current state of game and tags is not very good atm and I just prefer to play it safe and rely on my build designs in my defensive scheme.

These are not perfect tips but can help generate a decent record.

But I use Medium for all my zones lol.

Ellix is saying for man defense it needs to be short.

it does matter for zone. short does make guys hang a bit more shallow of their zone area, medium more in the middle, and long deeper in the zone. At least bort did a change a few seasons back and said it does matter for zone.

That's for the defenders to play tighter coverage but if your defender can't keep up with cuts and quickness/speed of the opposition then short will hurt more than help, I think.

Is this for CBs, LBs and safeties?
