Now that it’s been over the better part of a season, I’m definitely not liking the tactics situation for offense. There’s little consistency in what’s called, where, and how often (our low priority plays are called significantly more than the higher ones - individually and combined.

We spent this entire game throwing screens and rushing outside. I’ve made several comments about how we keep getting screwed with tactics, but this is completely inexcusable. Much respect to our opponents, but the playcalling really did us in here.

Screens and outside runs are only 30% of the team’s offense overall (and each have an individual section in the playbook), but we’re leaning heavily on it during gameplay and not switching it up at all. We literally won’t run inside no matter what it’s jacked up to (GL QB sneak is a severely low priority play in very short yet is called way too often for us btw).

Wasted time crafting a full, in-depth playbook just for us to be running the same/wrong thing most of the time. Any other issues for anyone? Defensively I feel things are coming together better with the tactics than it was before the reset, so it’s basically flip flopped for us.

I’ve had issues at times as well, switched up to making sure I was using 100% as a total for all situations and it helped a bit, but 1 confidence plays in playbooks do seem to crop up a bit often.

We’re tapped out at 100% as well which is frustrating. We’re supposed to lean inside run with favorable matchups with our TE & WR2, but it seems the sim has also committed to seeing the speed.

Problem is, it’s easy to plan against an all outside based team, and that 30% on paper seems to be much more in practice. The 40% inside seems nonexistent and our QB runs as much as our HB but there’s much more HB runs in the playbooks. I know I said I like to see S* QBs work for their money, but I’m not quite ready to lean on ours so heavily. Sim needs to chill out.

Yeah, it's been weird how hard it's been to get the game to get inside/outside running %s right for sure - we're way too outward aggressive atm.
