Has the idea of a basic league ever been brought up? I know we're all hardcore sim people but I was wondering for those that are burnt out, don't have the time, or just don't have the mind for the constant game-planning. What if there was an intermediate style of league. Choose a playbook (Westcoast, Ground & Pound, etc.), set some basic situational strategies and go?

It wouldn't be as competitive as the player run leagues we have now, but could offer another avenue for players looking to get into ownership?

While I dont love the idea of basic playbook leagues I would like to see updated playbooks.

As in everyone is given the same playbook and challenged to build a roster to support it? Sounds like hella fun, but you'll need a large enough target audience to make it viable.

We're talking about a pure unboosted no super league sometime in Season 69 or 70 in Academy. Which is in the vein of what you're referring to but not quite.

I mean, a 'default only' league would be pretty interesting - could make user ownership even cheaper and let CPU suss out depth charts even to prevent any real advance strategy from evolving. Would give people a level between D-league and full ownership to test the waters or for more casual owners to participate in - good part of doing this is that since it's still GLB2 it's not going to divide the uderbase any further and may actually consolidate some d-league spread down to limit server use.

Yeah this is more what I'm say I think. Something in between for people that maybe don't have the time, or are interested in ownership but want to try it out before diving in. I agree too that there would have to be a big enough user base interested to make it worth the while.
