GLB2 Scout Promo for New Team Owners
For Who: Anyone who wants to take a Team from Rookie to Vet who has NOT won (or 1-2) an Owner Championship.
In an effort to get more people to sponsor teams for Rookie to Vet runs, I’ve worked out a deal with Stobie. I’m giving away (3) 6-Season Manager Packages on GLB2Scout. This allows you a season to scout, build a roster, build out player templates, etc. and then Scout for 5 seasons from Rookie to your first Vet season. Ideally, you’d use Season 65 (the upcoming season) to recruit and plan out your team while scouting existing teams and learning more about the various tiers of the game. And then start your Rookie season in Season 66. I want everyone to feel unrushed. Hence, a 6 season package.
I’m hoping to do 3 of these promos each season for the next year. Each season is 53/54 days, so over the next 6 seasons, 18 people new or struggling with Team Ownership will have Scout to improve their team building and game planning.
We’re down to 80 teams this season. Many of us long-time players have multiple teams which means the universe of Team Owners is probably down to 30-50 people. This needs to get reversed.
Now, I have some requirements and vetting that needs to be done. Nothing crazy but I’m not just looking to give away Scout seasons to people who won’t use it. I reserve the right to adjust / change this as needed and potentially on a case by case basis. Not trying to be a jerk; but I am trying to grow the Team Owner base.
The Basics:
You must have posted at least once on the GLB2 Forums. You must be on Discord on the WG Server and the GLB2 Academy server. You need to be able to connect to the voice server on GLB2 Academy where you and I will chat. Our chat will be about your team building experiences (or lack thereof). You will be expected to check in on Discord (sometimes via voice) about your team. The point of all this is to increase your engagement with the game. In essence, I’ll be your mentor / motivator- at least initially.
I’m also asking experienced top-tier coaches to join me in being a mentor. The idea here is to pair up someone struggling with someone who understands the game. Mentoring will be based on how your schedule (free time) matches up with each other, among other things.
Mentoring will be on Discord. The voice channel on GLB2 Academy will be used. DMs and postings as well. I just think that actually talking to someone improves the connection, and ultimately the engagement. I’m trying not have a text on a screen only relationship.
