Mummy League 5 of the top 7 teams in the tier (only Mel's Confidential and Quicama Park are outside the league) and with that sort of bunch as we head to the 2nd round of divisional games there just is no safety unless you've been to Church Recently.
Only the Church of the Holy Zone in Gamma Divison has clinched a playoff spot (though not the #1 seed). Both Alpha and Beta contain a front runner though and contenders to give chace. We'll start with the easy ones:
Church of the Holy Zone, is "semi-locked in" to the 2nd seed. Could potentially be the #1 seed if they win out and get Aztecs tripped up by Intimidation Factor and the Gallic Legion. Other than that they can wait to host the Beta Division winner.
Beta Divsion, Deadites, Sweet Sound of Zone, and Xplosion - all have the same slim shot for Beta Divsion. They need to win out, and have the Flames flame out either fully (losing all 3) or much more likely win out and then get an assit from one of their division teammates against the Flames. The Atlanta Flames are clearly the favorite here , though they probably shouldn't start designing their road upset game plan for Church of the Holy Zone just yet. Only two things are certain :
(1) The Winner of Beta Division will be the #3 seed
(2) Hzarchary good guy though he maybe continues his undefeated record of least imaginative team naming conventions
San Diego Aztecs - 11 Games in without a loss, and only a tie to Ann Arbor blemishes their league record, you'd think that would clinch a playoff spot....yeah not so fast. Technically they clinch at least a wild card with 1 more win (otherwise they could lose the division to IF and the wild card to Gallic) their easiest opponent for a victory would be Week 14 to the Guardians though I'm sure they don't wait to wait that long. They clinch the #1 overall seed wtih two wins and both games are home first against Gallic Legion then Intimidation Factor.
3rd Gallic Legion - If the playoffs started today they would be in as a wild card though thats precarious at best. Would claim Alpha Divsiion with 3 straight wins and an Intimidation Factor win at San Diego in Week 13. Claims the wild card with a win Week 14 at Intimidation Factor and a win over either San Diego and Dallas - or - claims the wild card with victories over San Diego and Dallas - AND - a San Deigo victory at home against Initmidation Factor. Owns the Tiebreaker against Church of the Holy Zone for #1 overall seed if the Aztecs lose to Gallic Legion and Intimidation Factor but not the Gaurdians and Holy Zone wins out.
Intimidation Factor Controls their own wild card destiny, however, is eliminated with a loss to Gallic Legion in Week 14 regardless of other scenarios. Becomes the wild card with two wins and a tie against Gallic Legion. Becomes Division Champion with 3 wins and 3 losses by Aztec by virtue of tiebreaks against Gallic Legion who would then become the Wild card.
