How about creating a long snapping skill? This goes along the same lines as the "holding the ball for the FG kick" skill. Would be cool to have some special teams skills so that teams would have to make dedicated special teams players or use some of their regular players to have to pump these skills. This is one way to indirectly cut down on those teams with 10 S*s and low contract special teams players.

We already have a paper thin ST as it is. No FG blocks, onside kicks, fake ST plays, etc. While I don't have anything against the idea, I can't see how it would be implemented in anyway that isn't just an annoyance at best. I get upset enough as it is on a fumble on a PR or KR, the first time my LS bobbles a toss I would lose my mind.

It is 1/3 of the game and nobody puts much stress on special teams. It would be more about thinning out the S* loaded teams and make them put more than 36 players on the roster or they would have to spend regular player points on these skills. Would also cut down on the "low contracts" to special teams players.

They already have kick return awareness (although nobody uses it because it is useless). Why not add FG hold and long snap skill?

I think the counter argument here is that many don’t put that much investments towards special teams. Personally this is my first run really trying to get a feel for it and honestly, it’s a long process.

I think it’s worth it too, but instead of a long snapper skill I’d like to see better overall awareness on ST. Punts can really help defensively, kickers can be useful on kick return (and if your lucky he can win you games, and there’s fumble potential. I will say that I do think players approaching the kicker still has an effect on kick accuracy. I’ve seen kickers miss the hell out of some kicks.

10* teams are for sure a headache, but I will say having a few extra bodies (still a 7* team so partial poser) does make it easier to just make athletes that can help on that side.

Again, takes time. Therefore 10* don’t really need to dominate that part of the game if they’re trying to dominate the others.
