I think Heart is overrated. Reception awareness, Reception consistency, CIT, and Hands.
My TE John Cena is an absolute beast and he has 18 heart.
He currently has the 2nd most receiving yards in Sophomore tier (1128) and the most touchdowns (11).This is going by the league stats provided in both Egg and Palm league.
The other TE on my team, Hippity Hoppity, has 25 hearts. He also has the 2nd most TDs in both leagues (10) and the 4th most receiving yards only behind Cole Turner, Guac S*TE (by 7 yards), and the previously mentioned John Cena. All of whom are superstar players unlike Hippity.
And how do you know he wouldn't play even better if he had more heart? Just because you're successful doesn't mean you're successful because your heart is 18, especially when there's a wealth of other confounding variables like playcall selection, QB build, racking up stats against less competitive opponents, sheer targets, and high baseline morale due to overall team success. Without being able to point to actual game mechanics as the reason for your observation, you may just be pointing out a correlation that has no actual cause-effect relationship, where on the other hand we know for a fact that morale has a multiplicative effect on catching skills. You won't notice the effect of heart when you're winning most of your games 50-0, but in your losses when morale is low... you'll see the difference. And if you have to choose how to best spend SP, are you looking to pad your stats in blowouts or win the games you otherwise would have lost?
Also, just refreshed the page and saw Raid said the exact same thing, but too lazy to edit so just posting anyway
