Why the hell is my right guard trying to block the ROLB when the MLB is right in front of him? I know run block awareness plays a roll...but come on

His RBK Awareness is only 30.

Yeah...this doesn't make sense. If he has 30 awareness, why is he targeting a guy across the field? That ROLB should not be on his "radar". I would imagine, a blocker has a radar around him and the size of this circle gets bigger with the more blocking awareness he has. So he would need a huge circle to see that ROLB. If there is no unblocked defender on his radar, he should just move to where the play has his arrow...straight ahead.

Nah, game is not so complex. He makes a roll to see if he'll go for the right guy or not, he failed and went after another target - but didn't fail so hard a to just run aimlessly.

It's basically how every interaction in the game works, so while it's a guess - it's not a bad one as they tended to stick on this system for everything.

Just like how LBs won't guess pass or run correctly even if it should be a 'guess'- if they roll low, they will always guess wrong. The 'dice' roll and pass/fail is how basically everything works.

Your player failed his roll to pick up the best possible option, but didn't fail when trying to grab a second target, would be my best guess for how things went down on the server.
