I've hit Vet for the first time. A number of my players have 0 of 70 games remaining. However, that's 10 games more than 2 seasons and there's no way to even that out (make a number divisible by 30) with Cap Boosts.

So, what happens to players after (for instance) game 10 of that 3rd season? Does my team lose them and I'm left scrambling to fill our roster for the remainder of the season?

I can't imagine a player's life cycle wouldn't be allowed coincide with the end of a season. What am I missing?

They will hit legend and slowly lose chemistry. You will not lose them but the will not be any good by season’s end.

So, at the Legendary level the chemical bonds holding the player together on a molecular level start losing cohesion until the point that one last hit causes him to dissipate into smoke and slowly float away into the ethereal void of nothingness?!?

Wow, that's a much bigger existential answer than even I anticipated. O_o

PS. Also, after maxing out the SP boosts and refreshing the screen, that 70 games turns in to 90 which nicely coincides with a season ending.
