I understand they dont get XP for pick up games.. but why would it cost 15 flex points to play a normal player in pick up games? i just dont see the payout. does it count towards anything else? or am i spending 15 flex points per normal player for nothing?

Pickup games do not cost any flex.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't see a payout either. I have only ever played pickup games on my pickup players.

Wow...didn't know that. Yeah, who the hell if gonna pay 15 flex for a pickup game?

Never done it myself... could be a way to gain a larger sample size for testing or something to do if not on a roster or waiting for a roster spot next season?

Let's say you just had a league game and you want to see the effects of the points you just allocated. That is what I use pickup games for.

i thought it might be rank but i was wrong.. i spent a lot of points on a lot of normal players for nothing.. i probably should have asked first lol. thank you all for the info!

I believe pickup games DO count toward Superstar progress, so there's that.

I don't think that's correct. Pretty sure I've spammed pickup games to build Superstar progress. I don't think it matters what kind of player you end up building.

I think Cybertron is right - getting pickup players through the tiers will get you S* points when they get to Soph/Journeyman dmetc. Normal players won't level up through pickup games so it won't get you the S* points any quicker.

Unless I've misunderstood your point of course.
