My suggestion for home team start times made me think of Ladder game start times...
Don't allow Ladder games to start so late (21:00). It makes it difficult to upgrade your players in time for your League game the next day (especially if you have an early start time).
Play the games on the half hour as well to truncate the start times so the last games are played at 15:00 or earlier.
