Does Cover Expert fire when playing zone?

I have heard that it does, but do not take my word for it as DBs are not something I build often anymore. I'd like confirmation of it myself.

That SA is ridiculous. If it does fire while playing zone, our 2 superstar CBs are going to gold it.

I played 100% zone today and Cover Expert fired multiple times on some plays. This SA is gonna be nice.
