What do infrequently, sometimes, and frequently mean? I assume they relate to a percentage of energy/morale the player has and a backup is put in when a certain level is reached. If so, any idea what these levels are? Also, what determines when the starter comes back in? Is it when their energy/morale are fully restored or is it when the backup hits the same infrequently/sometimes/frequently level?

TIA

All I know is Frequently means every play the player is substituted.

Stamina level determines when. Not sure what it is for each level though.

I don't quite remember it ever being answered.

If a player has high conditioning it won't necessarily sub them every play. And as the game wears on if the backup has lower conditioning it will play the guy with more at the time of the snap so the main guy can get more time.

Frequently just means go with the freshest guy on the list, starting order is only considered if two of of them are at nearly the same level of energy pre-snap.

Effectively, it's something like this:

Frequently: Below 80% Energy
Sometimes: Below 60% Energy
Infrequently: Below 40% Energy

That's not exact but gives you an idea. Morale isn't used; it's just based on Energy.

A KEY part of Player Building is making sure Conditioning is rather high.

Conditioning does 2 things:

1. Gives you a pool of Energy for each play (the higher the skill value the greater the pool size) &

2. Determines the amount of Energy you regenerate after each play (again, the higher the skill value the greater the regen rate).

So a Player that has 50 Conditioning and Infrequent subbing will probably get subbed more than a Player with 100 Conditioning and Frequent subbing. Because the Pool size and Regen rate matter - A LOT.

Energy levels matter INTRA-play; not just at the start of the Play, but DURING the play.
