I’m tired of seeing this shit, wrong coverage reads, poor pick up patterns, shitty man marking. It’s always been here but with the way defense reacts now the smallest misstep will fuck you up. Defenders already feels slow, this kills it even further.

Completely forgot to link some, I’ll get back to this thread later today. I have a few plays off the top of my head that I know are buggy, just have to find some footage

This game is full of shitty man marking, but this right here takes the cake.

also the wr speed could be the issue just things I have noticed throughout the yrs I have played, his speed may be pushin ya to a spot early that u can not react from ,not sayin it is this but my spd receivers do this to cbs a lot ,again just my 2 cents ,an totally agree with atlbruce as well sometimes its just a crapshoot with it his stats look good man

Like the 953rd thing this guy has bitched about in the last few weeks. I bet that CB build is shit
Did I miss something? What does that play have to do with blitz mechanics or man assignments?

On a lot of blitzes where the man should be marking his assignment, they drop back like it’s zone coverage. This is especially bad on deep plays. I’m still in the process of playing around and seeing which plays are more consistent with “lax” coverage, but considering you can’t determine whether your DBs play press or off coverage, I would expect every man play to be press considering most of the SAs would realistically work best with press.
The changes to balance and snap reaction have made noticeable changes in the sim I get that, but I was already prepared for that. Now I’m not so sure how much our builds can take with the extra skills needed. Star WRs already give DBs hell as you make your way up, and there’s only so much that size can do to counteract that.
Defense (specifically the secondary since that is my real world affiliation) is really the only thing I care about so I tend to pay very specific attention to that side of the ball. DBs are getting harder to build with the cost of SP and the ever changing sim. At least give us specific tactics or something please, these general ones just don’t cut it unless you’re talking pass rush or run defense (and even then there’s not great consistency there)

You still didn't really clear up what is the bug that needs fixed.
The only player falling back into a zone is the SS in that play, because every receiver is already covered. What is the bug and what should he be doing differently?
And I agree, DBs are arguably the hardest players to build as they need to be the most versatile. Personally, I think that makes them the most interesting positions to build, but maybe that's just me. I think the goal should be making other positions more complex with SP tradeoffs, not simplifying the more diverse ones.

I have coached DBs on every level. The game doesn't do a bad job getting it right overall. DB is one of the hardest positions to play in football, and as such the game reflects how hard it is to build. The only problem I have ever had is pursuit having such a connection to affecting a man CB in play action. A good man corner shouldn't ever be affected by play action. That's always been my gripe here. I think man awareness should affect that more.

To the OPs point, this simply looks like a blown Man Awareness roll.
