you don't get to determine what the appropriate amount of sensitivity is. If you want to go out of your way to make insensitive jokes, go make them in FFA. Comedy is subjective, meaning some people will find things funny that others don't, but it's a legitimately terrible look to be making "X Lives Matter" jokes when police are literally murdering black people because they're black. Nobody has ever lost their lives because of GLB dots.

Mods didn't do that, when enough community members downvote your post because they find it in poor taste it automatically will hide the post and lock the thread if it is the OP of the thread.

It's an automated measure mainly to stop forum abusers before mods could show up, a relic from when there was more people around.

The fact you tripped it kinda speaks to how poorly timed the joke was, not to some conspiracy against you or free speech.


The problem with free speech is, you are free to say whatever you want... just you aren't immune to the responsibility of what you say.

Bengal, if you're gonna make crude jokes you gotta get some thicker skin bud. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

And I mean that from a place of love, if the name calling and push-back got you upset, think about the fact that it was a reaction to the things you said. Your initial words caused the same kind of upset and discontent you felt back. And the stakes are much higher for the protesters in real life than getting called an idiot on a forum.

If you want to make edgy jokes that may offend people, that's your prerogative. But you have to own it.
