Playing up 1 tier is bad enough but now we have to play up to tiers. It has gotten to the point that I do not even bother with planning for ladder matches, absolutely no fun. Why can't there be at least 2 leagues in each tier, filled in with CPU teams (kinda like Rookie Tier)? Then Ladder matches could be inter-league.
Forum > Suggestions > Restructure Ladder Matches...PLEASE!
LoL OSIRIS, that is because you are a GLB2 god! We humans can't compete with teams 2 tiers up. We are lucky if we can compete with teams that are 1 tier up. AND I just do not understand why it has to be this way, if the fix seems so simple to me but I guess...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlF79D0iHaI
How is beating a CPU team by 100 points more interesting than beating a tier below by 100 points?
At least up and down a tier could sometimes make a close matchup. If ladder games are always gains CPU then they may as well be removed.

1) I bet more teams play close games with CPU teams in their tier or lose than beat them by 100 points.
2) One tier is bad enough two tiers is ridiculous.
3) While playing down sucks, I am referring to having to play up.
4) Yes I would rather beat a CPU team in my tier than lose to a team 1 tier up, really who wouldn't
5) I don't know why I posted in the first place? I guess to vent.

Because its a technically fair matchup? if the problem is cpu teams cant compete against COACHED teams let players coach cpu teams. open cpu builds use build guides for cpu players.
i would rather have a boring fair game than a rigged close game.
could give cpu players 20k more sp at level 25. add some new cpu playbooks. Tbh if the player base is too small to support the ladder games as is you should attempt to accommodate the existing player base to provide the most balanced and fair gameplay. Its not even technically fair every cpu player is a boosted player thats 29k more skill points than the base player.
A purely cpu team vs a base human team is already a difference of over 1 million SP. I know they cant actually be competitive or people would just use cpu players which hurts the bottom line but still. Its really not too much to ask for "Fair" games right?
Tell ya what next ladder game that I'm coaching against an up tier I'll try and get the record for negative yardage. That atleast will be very interesting.

Why not one tier? How would slow and clumsy players benefit novice players?

I thought people would want a beginning tier, but I'm perfectly fine with just one tier.

I get why people want that I’m just not sure if it makes a difference if you play with bad players or good players. That is if we could go to a peewee style tier system.
Two tiers wouldn’t be better than what we have for sure. Rookie offers parity which helps beginners as the peewee system does as well.
Where we are at right now is pretty bad. I kind of like playing up but it’s frustrating because you don’t really have a chance to win no matter the playcallling.

Maybe first 3 seasons could all be grouped together, and the latter seasons grouped together? Would almost feel like a college -> pro style feel to it?

How would you group them together? 3 seasons of pro builds?

2 Tiers. One for first 3 seasons of a players build. One for last 4 seasons of a players life.

But how would it work?
