4 of our 5 ladder games have been against journeyman teams.

We are vet.


80% of our matchups have been with teams 2 tiers lower than us.


Please to fix.

How would you fix it?

You could have two half CPU vet leagues.

You could only allow single tier jumps and add sophomore for cross tier ladder games.

In the past the bad Journeyman teams played down to the top seasoned teams Good Journeyman teams played up to pro or CPU type Vet teams. This season there are only
6 pro teams and zero CPU type Vet teams.

I may be the only one but I hate playing ladder games against in-league opponents.

If the ladder games aren't going to be against opponents near you on the actual ladder, there is no point to the games.

They don't serve their purpose anymore.

You don't 'climb' a ladder by jumping down 12 rungs and taking a step again. It does nothing. I'd rather D-league teams get involved if it means we get to play against people on the same level. Sure some games may suck against a CPU, but then you'd at least not have the other team jumping from 2 leagues down to get smashed - and you'd be able to actually have a lot of ladder games actually matter.

It’s not based on tier it’s based on global. D-League games would be a good option. Currently we are at 14 which means we should be playing mostly pro and vet teams. There just isn’t enough teams.

How are there 0 seasoned teams in the ladder rankings? Maybe that's contributing. MOO

Because they removed seasoned. Everyone asked for less tiers now are seeing the adverse effects of it.

Oh word, wow I hate to see leagues if they hadn't done that. MOO

If there were more tiers, there'd be less teams per tier and this would be even worse.

And we are at 8 playing exclusively people down in journeyman who are sitting in the range of 18-24 week in and week out. Even without CPU teams in the mix they can do just a little bit better than that.

Edit: 9 now, playing people exclusively 10-16 places down the ladder rungs from us has caused us to slip a little, even when winning all the matchups.

I think it would be about the same. This game wasn’t designed for so few teams. Corndog had a great idea how to revamp the game but it involved massive changes to the whole system. Neither players or Bort were open to embracing that change. It was perfect and fail proof but after playing 35 seasons everyone just wanted status quo with minor changes heading to the same inevitable result.

I rather liked the idea of removing tiers as we know it, we need some fix for a shrinking community though. At the very least we need to throw in some CPU teams to fill in the gaps.

I would like to remove all but vet.

To make a point of how stupid and broken the ladder system is right now, because we had played so many teams 2 tiers under us, we literally the very next game beat the people who are at rank 1 in ladder:

And it was not enough points to even raise us back up to 8th, the position we had before this stupid run of games against people 2 tiers under us.



9 beat 1 and neither had their position change because the ladder rungs have become so fucking spread out from this bullshit.



We're 6-0 on the ladder, just beat the #1 team, and are well outside of contention.
