How much power and balance is needed to make Stiff Arm effective? Anyone tested?

Begins to fire decently at 45-50 power, works best at 60+

Balance over 50 min.


But my testing data is old af since it's not very good on footwork-first types and I've abandoned the combo-back nearly entirely.

You know whats funny....balance is all that is really needed. I have used stiff arm on an elusive back before and it worked great. But stiff arm has one key factor....its gold or nothing. before the SA is at gold the rumble risk is high as shit and it hardly fires; once you get it to gold the fumble risk drops big time and it fires more often.

See, years ago I tried Stiff Arm on a speed back and he kept falling down when it fired... after thinking about it, I don't recall balance being so big as it is now and that might be why I shied away from it. If it would work without having to put a power investment into it, that would be great for build design.

I tried this once with bad results, kept not firing when I wanted it to and not working as often. Maybe I didn't give it enough time before dropping the project. I did get Gold in it though, it is definitely not a skill you can skimp on.

So... about that.

My elusive pickup falls over every time it activates. Just like with my testing before, it just fails near every time when power is under 35-40.

I'll keep building him up to see if you need some number of elusive running to make it work, he's only at 60 balance so far, but with 35 power it works at 45 balance.

I've only got 40 elusive at the moment, so maybe the bar for breaking elusive tackles with it is higher.
