I still play GLB Classic and really wish GLB2 was not around, but regardless, I have given some thought to playing both. The last time I checked in was when the game first launched and I know there were some huge differences in the game.

Is there anyone out there willing to help me learn the ropes?

I started a new DE but have no clue if I am on the right path or not. I have 46,250 skill points to spend. Is there training in this game? Seems the XP system is way different.

Maybe the best way to learn is through trial and error, although, I doubt I will have that much patience. Any help is greatly appreciated.

if you have a pickup player you can use that and play a game every 30 mins you don't have to boost, its a nice to way to test things out before spending flex.

Otherwise try to get on a cpu team since the season as already started. No training like GLB1. you get points after every game but playoff games.

Open your build so we can see what you did with this one to give you advice.

Also, what else are you wanting to learn? Just building dots? Coaching?

I've found reading the forums to be very helpful. And before building a player, I go through the Hall of Fame (Players tab; HOF tab) and look for open builds to give me ideas about what attributes are most important for that position.

I am looking to figure out how to build players. Great advice thus far, thanks.

BTW, GLB2 was the biggest mistake Bort and Co. ever made, IMO!

I consider it a vast improvement over GLB1, to each his own

It may or may not have been a mistake, it is all hypothetical. I believe GLB killed GLB, not GLB2. I was bored and done by the time I came here. Could not watch another game of moving balls and a green rectangle.

Thanks a lot man. Will do. I am not sure if I want to continue on with GLB2. Just so many different "things". I guess I know new players felt when they came to GLB back in the day.

Like irockvans said, we want to keep the new guys around. You'll pick up on this stuff easily. If you have any questions or just want some general direction, go ahead and message me. I'll send a friend request as well.

GLB2 is much easier for player building, and simpler but still some challenge for tactics/play calling
