Why is there no setting to increase when you go for it on 4th down? Rookie kickers are terrible, I'd much rather go for it once I get passed the 50. I feel like this is a necessary addition to strategy. Thanks for hearing me out!

4th down always been pretty shaky in this game. Teams that are blowing teams out I think go for it more lmao

I used to want this, but I think it would make things very hard for the defense and cheapen some big 3rd down stops. I think the way it is now is influenced by QB morale and that seems OK to me.

Why take the decision out of the users hand though?

That would make strong stronger and weak weaker... there is no way of stopping good starHB with good OL in 4 downs.

Pretty much what Ghanima said. It would become a complete slog trying to defend 4th downs all the time, as there would be pretty much no reason not to go for it within 2 yards. I feel like the balance between offense and defense is pretty good right now. This change would unbalance it towards offense.

This is the best explanation I've seen, and you're right about that. However, the randomness of it is still frustrating, like when your team is up by 40 and goes for it on 4th down, but not when you're down by 6 and in their red zone... O_o

This is a football sim game. Football has 4 downs. I want to have a say when my team goes for it. If you don't want teams going for it, then how about you beef up your d-line and stop them? It's an important part of the game and we definitely should have a say on when we go for it on 4th down. Especially when you consider how rookie kickers are God awful, why not go for it when you're across the 50? The biggest argument I see against it right now is teams saying they can't stop 4th and 1. Well how about not let the opponent get to 4th and 1? It doesn't make sense to change football just because you can't stop a 4th and 1. Let teams be aggressive if they want to be and go for it on 4th down.

its frustrating when you punt with 1 or less than 1 yard to go especially when inside the 30 yard line but that goes both ways. Id be OK with some control in certain situations but in the past changes like this end up screwing things up. If it could be set up where you could only go for it on 4th down when down by a score or tied Id be OK with it but being able to go for it any time would make offense nearly unstoppable.

Because they will abuse and exploit it. I would for sure. It would really cheese up the game.
