Looks broken to me. Anyone else have thoughts?

Leading 31-0, Only sacked twice, hurried once all game, No INTS. Heart skill is 50+ and on high contract. Why is it all the way down to 8 during the game?

This is just one example I've been noticing it with other QB's on other teams. This seems really messed up.

Toughness:

The ability to absorb punishment. Decrease morale and energy loss from any type of hard hitting interaction, such as tackling, blocking, or power rushing.

How is throwing the ball considered Tackling, Blocking, or Power Rushing?

I try to get my qb's heart and conditioning as high as possible without taking away from leadership and passing skills. I haven't noticed anything odd with morale but Ive been crazy busy with work so will have to look into it.

That's a question I also would like the answer to since I think I've seen discussions about toughness with regards to QB morale after bad plays/missed throws/Int's etc. And of course sacks but that's obvious.

However, the Trash Talk SA combined with Intimidation is the focus here I think.

The two - Intimidation and Toughness - seem to counteract each other across many positions and situations. If I recall correctly, Intimidation has an AOE (area of effect) - though combined with some SA's the effect could be pointed directly at the QB as outlined by Sov. Toughness is rolled by the AI upon encountering Intimidation in general. So with the SA Trash Talk added, and if the Toughness of the QB is low, this would lead to the morale loss we see on your QB in the above example. It says on the Trash Talk SA that this effect (which is morale loss) can be resisted by the QB with the Toughness skill.

If that is true then the skill description for Toughness should include a sentence about Toughness counteracting Intimidation. Right now it makes no mention of it so how are people supposed to know? Hell all of the skill descriptions should be refreshed/updated with more descriptive accurate information.

The skill descriptions should be accurate to what the skill does for the player. Then the "fun" is experimenting with different levels of the appropriate skills for the player.

From the Changelog:

- Intimidation and Toughness rolls adjusted to be more consistent with their cost

- Rattled effect now increases pressure felt by QB instead of holding in blockers, Toughness counteracts rattled

^ Not everyone combs through the change log- especially newer players. Why not just make the skill descriptions to include new information to be more accurate?

Also the intimation effect seems overpowered to me. If the QB has only been sacked/hurried once or twice the whole game and he is winning by 30 points having morale drop basicly to 0 over some LB trash talking him seems extreme.

the game has gone through numerous changes, and there are also other little details you you may notice that isn't mentioned even if it's description is changed. What you described isn't experimenting, it's already knowing the necessary components of a build and seeing if you can play with the amount.

there needs to be a certain level of dedication to the game. things were constantly changing, reading up o these changes can especially help newbies get an understanding of the direction of the game.

that's like saying that a team that is 1-9 but has Von and Mack on the edge wouldn't have an effect on a weaker QB. If the builds are good enough to counter the effects, then they'll counter the effects. If they aren't, then they aren't

I'll jump in here. In my opinion the game could stand to be more user friendly for new players. That's what the game needs to survive and grow. So as changes are made to the game- refreshes to the skill and ability descriptions are very helpful and add to the ability to enjoy the game rather than be frustrated and confused. I don't really know what the change log is or half the terms in there. Make the game easier to operate in if you want people paying and playing.
