Why does the ROLB on 3-4 Tiger Blitz not follow through anymore when its a run?

He literally takes himself out of the play and has no reason to run away from it when it's not even a counter, for that matter. In the past the LB would still run blitz and had a shot at catching the HB, now he just runs right into the OL.

I've noticed the same thing with my OLBs when they blitz, I was assuming it's due to low blitz awareness on some of our guys, but it's pretty infuriating to watch.

well its true blitz awa is a highly ignored stat and most teams still have great results on their DEs/OLBs with no investment so if this is a penalty to that, i am a fan of the change. i haven't heard anything about any change to blitz awa so im more inclined to believe its got something to do with the changes to pursuit. most likely the setting is on "aggressive" for blitzing LBs and maybe a switch to balanced would provide better results?

Seems to happen sometimes with Shallow Will also. Not sure what is causing it. Maybe pursuit type???

My guy's got 50 Blitz Aware, but it seems to happen every single time he blitz's.... so I'm starting to lean on maybe it's pursuit settings.

I thought it was pursuit settings but when looking at the play on scout I haven't seen one time the ROLB run blitzed.

Apparently its for every run blitz.

I've given up several huge outside runs due to this. On my 4-4 OLB zone blitz.

Yep, vs BB it cost me back to back huge runs in a tight game.

This is some bullshit. I even tried different pursuit tactics no change. Blitzes are actually designed to help stop the run. Not hurt you.
