That said for all the talk of "this game is dead" I wanted to go 3 cheers for Bort as that's a heck of alot of upgrades/new features for this season. As I'm guessing it was quite a bit of coding just wanted to say congrats.

gonna take more than new sa's to clean this up unfortunately. there are just a culmination of changes right now that have pretty much killed player building fun all together and its not even worth the watch anymore because its a lot of developed builds acting like rookies out there.

Bort/Corndog have done great work over the years. but currently....things aren't good. There's been multiple threads since the last off-season alone highlighting issues with the sim, and nearly all were unresolved.
Don't get me wrong, new SAs are welcomed and something we've wanted for a while, but they don't mask the fundamental problems with sim mechanics. Nevermind the fact that upper tier agents can't even use them. The changes since balance got wrecked are the main issue.

Well at least isn't for lack of trying, i don't mind the sim sucking for sometime if it cause due changes, its worse when they abandon, yeah they are not changing a lot of stuff, but i think they will,

I would think they would have some pride in this game with the potential it has and the fact that glb1 was a thing...it shows promise and hope so if the admin is reading this i hope they having meetings etc or at least let us know what the plans are for this game. its only fair.
i understand we get the changelog every year but listening to suggestions or having a suggestion forum where you guys respond to us professionally would only do great things for this game. at the end of the day you guys understand coding and you simply made this game. listen to the reasonable suggestions but let us know you hear us by responding
this isn't a complaint...alot of ppl really like this gam ...i say dont give up keep meeting keep grinding and it will pay off in the long run

Of course. However it looks as though this balance issue is going to continue to hamper any sort of game mechanic that allows players to function on a competent level.

Buff everything that's over 60 by 1.5x and nerf everything under 50 by 1.5x. Make where players who invest in 1skill really good at it and if they don't invest in it they suffer. Make specialty builds stand out

i feel the same but honestly looking at a few game results so far this season, its almost as if rushing was improved which was my main concern. last season i saw almost no results of HBs averaging more than 4-5ypc vs any decent team. ive already seen a few games this season where HBs averaged 6-8ypc vs solid defenses.
a large part of the issue may have been the defensive play tag bonuses they added last season. most teams were running pure pass defense play tags and still having overwhelming success vs the run. in the changelog they "modified" these bonuses which i assume was maybe adding more of a penalty for selecting the wrong play tag (ex: pass play tag vs inside or outside run play)

im seeing a lot of sub 4 ypc games honestly. most of the 6+s are from blowout games.

I dunno, I feel like the SIM looks really good. In sophomore tier I'm seeing a lot of variance in playcalling and outside runs are doing much better. Inside runs too for that matter.
I agree that maybe the playtag defense bonus was just overtuned a bit.
