There's a team I'm on that has a need at the journeyman level. I have a sophomore pick-up player. Can I keep advancing that player to catch up to the current level that the team is on and just have him signed like that? Or do I need to wait until the end of the season? Is it just as simple as getting him to that level and having an offer sent?

as long as they don't go over the same amount of games already played you can get him to the exact number of games played for that team, convert then sign him

I’d catch him up to tier and get at least one game played so you can use the catch up option at seasons end. At least of it will help you get to building chem faster. No real good way to do it
