Has anyone noticed the changes with YAC attack yet?

Silvered it on my rookie WR with 40 awareness. I've yet to see it fire once in ~8 scrimmages.

It would be cool if the activating skill was receiving awareness.

What is his balance? Isn't it powered by balance?

35 balance.

It's powered by carrying awareness.

Catch in stride is powered by balance.

Well that is just stupid. Nobody invests in carry awareness on a WR.

Isn’t the bonus of RAC to power running anyways?

Yep...it should be powered by power running.

I'd be fine if it was powered by any skill even mildly useful for a WR. I suppose a tackle-breaking WR might be overpowered? I'll report back in 5 seasons and let everyone know how my experiment went.

Some people invest in it on HBs.

Makes sense. Seems like there are clear abilities for speed and possession receivers. Was hoping to build a power WR.

pretty tough in this sim where you cant even really build a power back who can do any damage.

people have had success with juke WRs. i saw one or two YAC/power thru WRs in the past that had success, but in different metas where defense was much weaker vs the pass.

personally YAC attack is a garbage skill, near impossible to build a WR with high enough carry awa to fire it and enough power running to actually break tackles even on CBs with no tackle skill because power running is garbage under 90ish

if you want a WR who can break tackles try using juke or B4I, both of those fire alot with low investment. GL

really tough to make a decent power wr now that balance and quickness have so much influence in speed and tackle breaking. when you could ignore both for power running it was worth it. as it is hbs hardly break tackles so trying to make your wr do so is an entirely new level of good luck.

I tried this with a TE once, but was underwhelmed by his ability to break tackles. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/208752 (can't open build but had 93 power, 92 cond, 76 carry aware, 65 balance)

Then again, I didn't throw to him a ton back then either. Probably would be more viable in today's meta. The big negative is how long it takes to get power into the 90's, and the lack of speed you can put on a power WR/TE.

I might create a big, powerful S* WR in my next run. Make him #1 WR on all plays. Give him high power rushing and Gold YAC.
