There IS a strip mechanic in this game, that no one uses because of how little it fires. In fact, it even tells you in game when you stripped the ball instead of forced a fumble - an attempt to get people to use it no doubt - a failed one.
This is literally someone hitting a guy with enough force to take him down to the ground while popping the ball out, and then standing up mid-tackle to make a play on the ball - maintaining balance from this impossible maneuver while not falling down immediately after unlike an 80 balance HB that falls over 100% of the time 2 steps after activating a stiff-arm.
It's bad enough they absolutely buffed the shit out of defender's pathing/pursuit so a 55 DT can chase down a 95 speed HB to the edge without any kind of angle assistance whatsoever. But I guess if defense wasn't scoring every single game most would end nowadays with single digits on both sides - can't have that now it would ruin the 'realism'
Not to mention the abhorrent change to blocker's pathing. What the fuuuuuuuuck. Elusive backs moves now fake out THEIR OWN BLOCKERS more than defenders... not a joke at all. Any time they bounce back to give blockers more time to get set THE BLOCKER STOPS AND MOVES BACK WITH THEM, COMPLETELY ELIMINATING THE POINT OF THE MOVE.
Seriously, blockers cannot see behind them, stop trying to buff the way blockers move in power running style, especially by 'binding' them to the run path like that... fuck.
Watch how when the HB bounces back here the blocker is drawn backwards with him

utter garbage. Such a shit 'fix' to power running to make it work still with all the fucking buffs to pursuit. Break the game one way because you want a new exciting feature to program?
Here's another example of a classic elusive bounce backward to buy time for a blocker, and the blocker bouncing back as well and then missing the block entirely:

The developers just do random stupid shit, they don't listen to the community about what is good or not, they KILLED the run game by nerfing the fuck out of power running, and then trying to buff power running back into existence and fixing the speedback 'problem' they have nullified anything but the passing game and up the gut runs as options on offense.
We went from a sim that needed a few tweaks a couple seasons ago to a mess that people are flocking away from in droves. The game is dying because of the stupid shit the devs are doing to the sim. This balance bullshit is just another cherry on top of a shit-pie.
The worst part: those 2 are fairly mild examples - it's hard to find good ones anymore because outside running is DEAD so no teams use it.
I just love how defender pathing has made a 95 sprint HB as effective running outside as a 55 speed HB used to be, but if you pull some speed off the build you are 100% useless. That doesn't fix the problem with speedback, IT FORCES PEOPLE TO MAKE THEM. The Devs are literally FORCING people to make the HBs they tried to kill with all these moves: the power/speed back.

I think the thing I don't get about this game is how people beg for a certain change and then they get pissed when the change happens.
Most recent example- People complain about how they want to be able to set coverage distance on their CBs...okay they make that change. Now guess what- people are complaining about the change that they asked for.

Nah, people begged for simple changes to fix defenders running into eachother and blocks even with high awareness/pursuit which is understandable, reworking the entire offensive blocking scheme and changing the fundamental way defenders move to increase their side to side mobility with no thought about the change to the game it would cause is just short-sighted.
Devs are supposed to work this out then test it, not just throw it out willy nilly after its done with no plans for a rollback, if they even could.
I get where you are coming from, but a fundamental aspect of the game has been broken. I wasn't one calling for a defensive buff but I could get their frustration - even so there's no reason, when people are asking for a bandaid, for the devs to do a reconstructive surgery.

I think people need to be careful what they wish for on here. The devs aren't spending time behind the scenes testing things so anytime you ask them for a change and they do it- it's not going to be perfect and there will be unforeseen ripple effects. So be careful what you ask for and have lowered expectations is the atmosphere and product they have created on here. Things would be different if they were more involved and dedicated to this site but that's just not the case here.
