If they are not ever going to give us the damn option of holding players back to block or not, let us chose which player/players to hold back.

I don't ever want to hold the TE back. This often causes double coverage on the primary target which would of had single coverage. This doesn't prevent sacks at all. This causes QB holds the ball much longer because the play no longer works as designed leading to sacks, deflections, interceptions, and moral spiral.

I have the HB checked in the tactics hoping this would help but it seems to be a whole separate thing but it shouldn't be. Just give us that option because holding the TE back is just an auto failed play. Why put the time into gameplanning if some terrible game mechanic I have no control over makes it all for not? A complete waste of time. Time I will never have back.

Just give us the option. If people want to use it then great but stop forcing stupid idiotic bullshit on me.

The TE doesn't get held back if you make it the #1 option...but then that can obv alter your passing options/plays

I know but I don't always want him to be the #1 option. It just shouldn't be the way it is.

Fuck you GLB. Thanks for taking the liberty of changing every fucking pass play again in my best interest. I better see this in the change log or I'm gone soon. This feature is beyond horrible. At least give us the option of calling plays the way they're drawn up.

yeah and that's lame...just making the hold back feature work as selected seems so obvious it's mind numbing that this is still an issue

thought you would like this one osiris, 2TE set vs 3-4 defense, and TE is set as the hot route and still gets held back lol. could have been a disaster but luckily we converted anyway

I don't like that one either, lol. Lucky for you your WR made a great play. SS should have been in single coverage on the TE not tripling the WR. This whole thing is just bad.

I have to make my TE the primary target on most every pass to avoid this rather than going to my WRs which is what I usually want to do. I feel like a jerk targeting my own TE 20 times a game when some of our WRs get next to nothing.

They should find out what's making the checkboxes not work, and fix the damn thing. If you don't check "the QB can hold the TE back" the QB should never, ever, under any circumstances hold the TE back.

I think it's a stubborn bug they've never been able to fix, but seriously things are balanced enough this season that if they have to spend all their coding time finding that bug and it's the only thing they can fix, they should just fix that.

If it's somehow intentional, they should accept the ridiculousness of it. You can tell a QB that no matter what he cannot hold the TE back. It's supposed to be audibled, so one can have no audible on the team to do that. Some time ago I heard "rattled," well if there's no audible to do it, even the most rattled QB can't do it. Or tell your TE's "no matter what, run your route."

My understanding is there are two separate things going on. The rattled thing that you have zero control over who is held back other than to make a player your primary target. Then the blitz thing where the check boxes come into play. The rattled thing needs to be removed or use your check boxes to control that too. Holding the TE back does nothing positive for your offense and greatly helps the defense. Very counter productive and not well thought out.

If there is an intentional rattled thing (which a long while back I had the TE box unchecked and my QB did that when his morale at the time was 100, so how rattled could he be), they need to take it out. We could in real life absolutely tell the QB that he couldn't do it or he'd run 50,000 laps the next practice after the game (maybe exaggerating for effect, but you get the idea), or have no audible for the TE held back, or tell the TE that if he ever doesn't run his route he'll run 50k laps the next practice-- that he must ignore the QB. "Rattled" is BS and shouldn't exist in allowing a QB to overrule orders from the coaches. Period.

It's as ridiculous as if they started having the QB overrule the coaches and call his own plays.

Yep. My TE was held back almost all game once where we gave up just one sack and like 3 hurries. It massively alters the play in a real bad way.

You’ve been told the workaround and yet refuse to implement it.

TE Durnik is the primary target on every LogZilla play. However, there are numerous games where he gets virtually no targets.

Additionally, there are plenty of plays that will favor a Primary target other than the TE, even when the TE is “primary”.

Defense matters.
Play calling matters.

Asking for a code fix is fine, but why on earth are you intentionally fucking up your team?

What point are you trying to prove?

Thick headedness?

I'll start worrying about fucking up my team once we actually lose a game.

I just want a fix to this terrible feature.
