1) This has already been discussed multiple times, but Superstar CPU's would be nice. Not everyone can go out and recruit a bunch of superstars to their team minus their originally created 3. And there isn't a way to break the system and build teams with 22 superstars anymore. So why not? It only helps the newer players that much more in that they can buy a team and compete better with elite teams.

2) Which brings me to this. I assume that no CPU player hits gold in any of their respective SA's that they add? If not they should at least gold one of them. Give the CPU players a chance to be role players in higher levels. Bronze and Silver SA's are ok, but there is a much different level of play between silver and gold. Maybe a tier system per CPU player that Golds 1 SA, Silvers 2 SA's, and Bronze 3 SA's?

3) I know there was a change a couple seasons back that allowed CPU's to grow better by picking better skills and not just entirely random. Let's take this a step further. With my second idea, you could build different types of player archetypes that are built "well" overall, but specialize in certain areas that their SA's represent. So lets say you have a CPU DE. We only see that he has "Run Stuffer", "Fumble Creator", and "Fearsome" as his 3 traits. So the only assumption we have is that this guy is a run stuffer type that can create fumbles and can intimidate.

So our assumption is that this guy is all around built, but working more heavily in Intimidation, Power Tackling, Strip Tackling, Break Run Block, and Hold Ground. Which is probably correct. But, I also assume that his SA's are pretty jumbled between Bronze levels (maybe a Silver)?

What I would like to see is where a CPU like this focuses more on one of those things. Doesn't need like automatic 100 or anything but a better focus would create better players. So let's say this guys Gold level SA is Beat Down. He ends up with like 80+ Intimidation to give his gold SA meaning. His silver SA's are like Unstoppable Force and Opportunist. He ends up with like 70+ in both Hold Ground and Strip Tackling. The 3 Bronze SA's could be Monster Hit, Shed Block, and something random like GL Stand/HTH/RW/Second Wind/etc..

Just having that focus on individual guys would be great. Again, I know you don't want us to see CPU builds and we still wouldn't have to. But this would give us an even better sense of what these guys are good at, make them better overall players, give us better reason to watch each of them play at higher levels, and maybe give the general population ideas that some off the wall builds might work too.

I agree with these ideas but they might think if we can get competent CPU players for free, why spend SPs on our own players?

Well, you would still be able to build better players to fit your scheme than CPUs.

I also think this is a great idea and would allow more agents to own teams with decent CPU players on the roster.

Lets be blunt. Nobody is going to be an elite vet team even if 1 through 3 was established and Rob had control with 35 CPU's. Not only would they have to have done an incredible amount of scouting for 30 or so CPU players but they would have had to place a couple well built human players in there as well just to hold their own on some aspects.

But then that is the point. Get people to build teams that they pay for. Let them afford the opportunity to compete somewhat knowing that they can imrpove their roster through heavily scouting their CPU talent or bringing in a couple more human built guys.

And when I say scouting, I mean literally signing each individual player, playing a scrimmage, and watching the level at which their SA's fire. That would be a bit crazy for one, but that also would end up costing flex as well. So in the end, GLB wins, even if a guy went through that much to find all the right pieces of the CPU lottery.

As a player, I find that losing snaps to CPU players is ridiculous. For example, QBs that I pay for in flex shouldn't be splitting time with a CPU QB or have fewer snaps per game. Other positions suffer from stamina issues and I get that but c'mon...

I get the QB argument. Although where else does that really fall on the spectrum? HB ya, but in the end it is going to be tough to rule that at any other position and there is something to be said for a fresh back as well. I don't know if this is already in place, but starting positions should hold more weight towards human players (which i believe might already be in place).

Pretty sure if your QB was on a human controlled team he would not be splitting time with a CPU QB. This suggestion is all about getting more human controlled teams in this game.

Pretty much this. Imagine it like if CPU players were somewhat decent to use beyond rookie and people could build parts of their team through using them. Maybe your QB finds a home on a human controlled roster. Maybe you create a roster built around your quarterback instead of fending him on some CPU team using basic tactics all day. If you are going to run nearly 2 full leagues of all CPU teams ran by CPU, maybe the idea is to make better CPU players and capitalize more on the team owning perspective than the guys putting together rosters of 30+ players here and there?

I agree, anything that encourages players to be owners and coaches will increase enjoyment of the game. It wouldn't have to be free, it could be an option where you pay a small flex fee to get a CPU player with a particular focus. Pay the fee and select the 3 traits you want the player to have, and a utility builds a stock player of that type. A star CPU player would cost extra flex and eat up the same salary cap space as a human star.

Why would I sign a human player if I can just get a CPU player then?

1) You know the human players build.

2) Knowing the build you can work to either mold that build into what you need or make the best use of it.

Im not pushing for great CPU's, I am just pushing for more focused builds that work beyond rookie/sophomore level.

The best way to get more top end teams and better competition is to start to slowly let the idea that you need 36 human players to compete die.

Allow guys to branch out create better competition without having to find 10 plus quality agents to stand by them.

I'm concerned your idea would hurt small time agents who might only own 1-5 players total. If you make CPUs more valuable, less Team Owners will bother signing the small time human agent players.

Not sure why? The whole point here is so that those small time agents get their interest in more than just hitting up random veteran guys for jobs. Why can't Joe Schmo take his 5 players and build a team around that beyond rookie? Why should he absolutely need at the very least 31 other FA human players, including human superstars as well, to compete averagely among the teams in his tier?

It is that kind of idea that has gotten us to a point where we are consistently left with just a few decent teams in each tier. Because instead of a wide variety of agent owned teams competing against each other, it is condensed into a small market of veteran agents housing as much talent as they possibly can. And in the middle of beating up on each other they get a couple CPU ran teams to beat up on.

If I'm a player agent who owns 1-5 players and have no interest in spending extra money and time on Team ownership....you're effectively squeezing me out of the marketplace by allowing CPU players to be configured even more skilled.
