Brick Wall or Monster Hit. Which one of these is more effective going against a power runner? Should you go for both? Should different positions have one or the other?

depends on the position and build of the player but both can be effective. actually all 3 if you include death grip.

for DL or DEs its more cost effective to use brick wall or death grip depending on their setup. for LBs or SS most likely monster hit. for secondary players probably death grip.

edit: pairing 2 together depending on the build is effective but sometime unnecessary. broken tackles happen 1/10 regardless so dont go overboard focusing on just that aspect of the players build aside from a few key run stopper positions.

I have silver Brick Wall on ALL my run defenders and some pass defenders. I also have Power Hitting at least silver on ALL my defenders.

Monster Hit is great for knocking the ball loose vs WRs.

Death Grip works best with players that are big -- their size effects the drag, so unless your builds are unusual I am talking DL and not CBs

Yeah...all my LBs and DBs have at least silver monster hit. My DL use death grip some.

Defensive Line I say Death Grip due to size and no build up to contact usually.

LB & SS & FS Brick Wall with optional Monster Hit & Death Grip. These positions build up speed with contact, so BW for sure and MH if build permits. DG is a bonus if there is room.

CB optional Monster hit if you have room after pass defense skills. DG they do not have the size to make nearly as effective, and BW doesn't get to fire enough IMO.

I don't use MHit unless I gold it, b/c of the penalty. But that said, I love it for LBs and SSs.
