Is it just me who thinks that punts are a bit too strong? Doesn't matter if you stop oponnent on their redzone, 3 and outs...the punter will just destroy the football back to the redzone (lul).

Yeah, the field position game is pretty much a non factor because of how absurdly strong and reliable punting is.

It would make S* punters more valuable too.

Make all punters cpus with one set build so that you can fairly test out how to make them more effective at short punting and less effective for super long punting all the time.

Worthless position as nobody is gonna waste a superstar on it so may as well automate what they can do to make them a better position all around for the game.

If they nerf it pretty good and make accuracy a bigger part of punting (make more punts go off the side of the foot and go out of bounds with low hands and accuracy), S* could be very valuable.

There is never a bad punt, muffed punt, nothing, on the other hand field goals...

Agree. There needs to be a ton more "kicks off the side of the foot".

Disagree, there are plenty of bad punts. They may not drop the ball after the snap, but punters are horrible at kicking to the side or inside the 20 without it going into the endzone. As for distance, its really not much more than the NFL. The issue is that the ball always bounces forward, and the returner lets it drop more often in GLB2. Then you have to remember that we have SAs that contribute to higher punting averages.

Who cares if accuracy is a big part? It's just another way of making the punter a useless position on this game. Just call a spade a spade.

NFL punters also have "SAs", its a sim. And i was talking about distance not accuracy, i know its bad to put under 20 or punt to the sides, but the punts always travel very high distances, its like a kickoff everytime.

What are they gonna do? Make super long punts less a thing with 100 punt power? Maybe they make super nice corner punts better with 100 accurracy? Ok...how about we just cut the losses here. punting sucks. people dont ACTUALLY wanna make them and spend SP's on them. So just make them a CPU. For fucking gods sake, its a stupid position and i have been saying this since GLB1. I don't care what you tag onto this position. Its not used enough for me to actually care.

Safety/corner. Also, and you will love this Dee, an all conference returner.
