I played GLB classic several years ago for many seasons. I'm just getting back into the game and adjusting to this new version and was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on what the most important stats, when creating and after creating players, are to work on for OT and OG. Thanks in advance.

Run block tech, run block power, conditioning, consistency are top 4.

After that speed, Balance, toughness, heart, quickness, and awareness skills are somewhat needed at certain levels.

Peoplespecially opinions will vary tho.

Depends on the type you're trying to build too... pass, run, or balanced

Not really. What on earth would really make a person build a pass based oline at this point?

Think about it. It serves you almost zero purpose. All those pass based skills aren't going to make most of the non top 10 pass plays any better. The run based skills make screens better. The run based skills make ST's better. Having zero pass based skills doesn't hurt your passing game.

So why?

Extending on what bhall said, the options are basically pure run, almost all run, or mostly run. imo.

I like a little PBT and footwork tbqh though unless you are building a 100% run team. At some point, RBT and RBP gets so expensive, you could take 1 point off it and get 5-10 in PBT or 10-15 in footwork.

Depends on the plays you are going to run. Generally, Gs pull a lot more than anyone else, but you can pick plays where the OTs are pulling quite a bit too (or you can avoid them completely and they won't).

The main skill is pretty much RBT. That is not debatable.

To me, the next question is how much pulling that player is going to do, and so how many SP you reserve for sprinting and quickness. Keep in mind Pull Specialist fires pretty much constantly, so you can supplement quite a lot by golding that SA.

Then you dump the rest into a combo of RBP, PBT, conditioning, toughness (very important), consistency and balance.

You don't need much heart/footwork and awareness is totally useless, imo.

Well, back in the day guys built pure pass teams and I didn't know what type of offense he was running.

As a guy who has built and ran several pass olines throughout the seasons, it is wasteful and frustrating.

it wouldnt be bad if pass skills translated to ST's and screens as well but ya...it's frustrating how little is gained from it and how much you lose exposing yourself to a lack of run skill.

I'd say balanced is best if your doing TE gimmick offence, run block is best for QB gimmick offences. If your team is running something else chances are your not a championship team anyways so just have fun IMHO.

Also, I would not worry about blocking power much beyond 60 no matter what build you go with and instead build up your balance. It's much much cheaper and you can just recover fast if you get knocked around. This game has screwed over offensive line building so harshly that and true power defense is going to own your o-line hard if you're not doing gimmick plays or short fast hitting plays.

Tech 80
Power 60
Balance 80
Stamina 60 pass 80 run
Toughness 60 pass 80 run
Snap Reaction 60
Footwork 50,Speed 25,Quickness 25 for your LT if your pass based otherwise it's useless

I would use that as your base and adjust according to what offense your running and what your coaches want. I myself prefer run focused, stamina killing offences.

Pass rushing rolls should be more effective, or low pass block skills nerfed, an o-line with almost none pass block skills should get destroyed every play.

So it looks like they fixed the ST aspect, or at least tried to.
