i have used it. i always take it to 40 to try and prevent punts being dropped. but it is suppose tohelp with better accuracy like pin deep.

I have used it and normally keep in on par with everything else. Rookie season i was kicking with 5 yards and coffin corners

I think chemistry has more to do with fumbling the long snap than anything else tbqh.

Yeah, my normal build puts the hands cap at 57 and it is a cheaper skill, so I usually take it all the way to the cap.

Your punter will drop the ball...alot...if you don't invest in it. Also effects accuracy and velocity.

When was the last time a punter fumbled a snap? I've not seen any in seasons.

Exactly. Not that I've ever left punt hands in the teens either...

They made a change a few seasons ago to decrease the number of fumbled punts but it can still happen.

I'd wager that nobody has fumbled a punt since.

Before they changed the Punter muff rate, I did some small testing and at 24 Punt Hands had an extremely low rate. I think he muffed only one punt in two or three CPU league seasons. So it was like 1 in 600-900.

That said, it's supposed to improve punt quality. How? No idea. My normal Punter build is 100 Power and then 75-80 in Punt Hands and Consistency. At Vet that means a 53-55 yard average and 5.3 hang time or so.

Seems good enough for me.

That is my experience too, so I always thought muffed punts had more to do with chemistry.

My normal build is the same except 57 hands. I get the same results. Average being dictated mostly by field position and running out of field with touchbacks then anything else.
