Now that there are only 5 games left in the regular season, probably about time to start talking about playoff hopefuls:
In Alpha, Whoville, Northland and Fury could all still take the division, and it seems a certainty that one of the others gets a wild card. Fury have the best chance of finishing the remaining non-division schedule unbeaten, with Whoville next and Northland with the toughest remaining two games.
That means Whoville and Fury could enter the final stanza of division games with the same record, and Northland has the best chance of staying a game out of first. Even so, it will all come down to the inter division games. Slight edge to Whoville and Fury to take the playoff spots.
In Beta, Blue Ridge is out in front by two games, but they also have two games left against high quality Alpha teams Whoville and Northland. 1980s is their only competition at this point, and they have one gimme over the next two weeks. Blue Ridge could very well lose their next two games, and 1980s could win theirs, putting them back into a tie. The rest of the division are freebies, so it will likely come down to week 12 where Blue Ridge and 1980s meet each other to decide who takes Beta. Slight edge to Northland as they have some of their wins in the bag, whereas 1980s need to win out.
In Gamma, it's still a three horse race between Simpsons, Jedi Order and Los Angeles. No hope for any of them to get a wild card unlike Alpha, so a more tense race to the finish. Simpsons will probably win their next two games, Jedi Order has a tough matchup against Northland, and Los Angeles have two tough games left before hitting divisional play.
That probably means Los Angeles will fall out of legitimate contention by the start of divisional play, leaving it up to Simpsons and Jedi Order to decide the division in week 13. Slight edge to Simpsons.
Still too early to tell, but it looks like the safest bets are Whoville, Fury, Blue Ridge and Simpsons, with a good chance of the two Alpha teams playing each other in the semis.
