If you create a Pick Up player, each pick up game you play with him will gain him XP, so you can try out a build.

For normal players, there isn't really much point, other than to watch another game with him in. You get no XP for him.

For Pickup Players:
I use it to see what odd builds look like and if they could maybe be practical. There's also the new transition feature, which will help fill holes in teams at higher tiers.

For Normal Players, I only toss them into a Pick Up Game to try and match them up against a Pick Up Player, to increase the level of competition away from CPU.

Or sign up all your normal players at 9:00 eastern every night so we can have the best possible game experience!

Remember for normal players that you get one free Pickup Game every day, then it's 15 flex. So I save them until 9 every night.
